6 Years of Souvenir: @_s_o_u_v_e_n_i_r_ x @zzzits Tees 2019-2020 We have always wanted to do a limited model. Not only for financial purposes but also because we want everything to feel special. It’s been harder to do that once demand for something increases. We always make more if there is interest. We are thrilled when people like what we are doing. It’s a big part of what keeps us going. With this model we’ve always tried to balance availability and exclusivity. Specifically with one of a kind product. For us, the @zzzits tee is what started it all. Our friend Nathan was making custom patchwork clothing out of his bedroom and selling it to close friends. We loved them. At once they felt familiar yet completely new. Most were created from upcycled vintage tees. They were graphic in feel and overall just, cool. We finally ordered a custom piece and immediately fell in love. An idea sparked! What if we made some for @_s_o_u_v_e_n_i_r_ out of actual souvenir tees from our travels? Nathan was game and that became the start of us offering limited edition, one of a kind items. At our first CDMX inspired pop up, these were the first thing to sell out. And they continued to as we we did our Tokyo inspired pop up and again when we popped up in New Orleans. We made a giant version of one for our first pop up at Yowie, that we used as a window display. I still own it, and have it proudly on display at my home. These are overall a proud moment for us. It’s wonderful to revisit these photos. Beautifully shot by @lindseywernli and wonderfully styled by @hbwaring & @rycal and modeled by our ultimate muse, @thermos_lauria . We hope you enjoy them too! 6 years ago today, we launched the first photos of @_s_o_u_v_e_n_i_r_ as a preview of our first ever pop-up @helloyowie Little did I know that launching these would forever change my life. The pop-up focused on the beauty and art of CDMX and I have to say the photos captured the feel and color of being there so well. You can almost smell these photographs. Stunningly shot by @lindseywernli and beautifully styled by @hbwaring with additional support from @rycal This shoot set the tone for everything we did going forward and honestly looks as contemporary today as it did 6 years ago. Over this next month we’ll be looking back at our favorite moments of the last 6 years. Please join me in celebrating. ❤️ Richmond aka @_s_o_u_v_e_n_i_r_
