POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Better late than never.

I aged out (more than) a few weeks ago. 7 years ago I picked up the clarinet and joined my high school marching band. I had a great time, and in my senior year decided to try out indoor percussion. Several years and several groups later, to have aged out with the Blue Devils and RCC front ensembles would have been a pipe dream to sophomore year me.

The lessons I’ve learned and friends I’ve made at RCC will last a lifetime. Through the ups and downs, the members and staff of RCC make every moment worth it. There’s no other place I would’ve loved more to call home.

Special thanks to RCCFE 26, for making my age out so fun and for placing their trust in me. Scores and medals are cool, but y’all are cooler 😎.

On to the next chapter!

I’ve played with some pretty special groups before, but this front ensemble was just different in the best way. The most mature, hard working, funny, loving, and supportive group of people I’ve ever met.

I could go on a long paragraph here, but an Instagram caption can’t capture even a fraction of the good things I have to say about this season. With many memories and stories to tell, this experience left me with a full heart and a dream fulfilled.

Thank you BD, from the bottom of my heart 🩵
Thank you to everyone who supported me on my journey!
I’m so grateful to have been able to age out after 5 years of doing this activity. I have so many things I want to say, but I think I’d rather keep this post shorter.

As much as I want to have more seasons of DCI, I think the time limit we have makes it special. The limited time to spend with each person makes those bonds we share much more than just a normal friendship in my eyes. I truly see you all as family to me.

Now it’s time to end this chapter and start writing myself a new one, page by page, letter by letter.

Thank you, Blue Devils

I never thought I’d ever be a Blue Devil, let alone the drumset at Blue Devils. I still remember watching the 2017 Zach Hudson head cam and being in awe by how incredible drumset could be in the marching arts. Jumping into such a highly sought after spot last year was something I was absolutely honored to take up, and this year was the perfect ending statement of my marching musical career. Being apart of a legacy of incredible Blue Devils drumset players is such an honor.

This tour has taught me so much about patience, resilience, and being able to stop and smell the roses from time to time. Especially with the front ensemble members and staff, they’ve all inspired me and supported me through thick and thin, and I absolutely love them for everything.

This is the end of my marching career, but I’m so excited to see what is in store for the future of my musical career. I know that these past 3 seasons of drum corps has taught me so many life skills that will help me in life. Thank you to everyone who’s been on this crazy journey with me, it’s been absolutely amazing.
