I love the Christmas season…but, let’s be honest, it can be such an overwhelming & stressful time. I’m always wondering- Am I doing enough? Are we making good memories for Ryder? Is he having a great time? And then the other day I thought back to my favorite Christmas memories as a kid. They were simple- walking around the Glendora Village on a random night after dinner with my parents, when all of the stores were closed. Or right when they dimmed the lights in the church before the choir started to sing ‘Silent Night’ at midnight Mass.

And I realized my most magical memories from Christmas were the simple but beautiful in-between moments. Not the events and parties (although, granted, those are fun too). Those little spontaneous times when we are really present as a family. Like stopping to walk around the lake when we were up in the mountains the other day. It was cold but we were all laughing. Or when Ryder came up to cuddle with me on the couch. One day I may slightly forget what the cabin looked like that we stayed at, or where we went to dinner that night but I feel like those will be the memories I will cherish.

I hope you enjoy the beautiful in-between this week, and all of 2026.

Also, consider the first slide as our Christmas card. One day we’ll actually get them done.

Happiest of holidays to you all. ❤️
Love, Jenny

Ryder for @zarakids Shot by @nedrogers
Fun trip to NYC & getting to experience upstate NY for the first time in the beginning of fall. The owner of the property was so lovely & drove the kids around in his UTV with his beautiful dogs to feed his chickens & horses. On our day off we walked around Central Park, checked out the zoo, hit up the Natural History Museum when it started to rain, and ate great pizza, of course. Thank you @lamodelsjuniors & @zarakids 🤍

My crazy cool, sweet, funny, feisty, sensitive & loving boy turned 7! How are you 7 already!? Our second time to Legoland for his bday but since his obsession for Legos has greatly increased over the past year, it made sense this year. Stayed at the Legoland Castle this time (knights & dragons room obvi, but I was curious about the wizard room for myself). FYI to those that are curious about the hotels- both hotels are pretty similar I think, room-wise. Castle had an outdoor movie set-up, playground, a slide that kids can take instead of stairs & more pool features. But, the OG Legoland hotel did have a dance party & a disco elevator (cute). Regardless, we had fun doing the scavenger hunt, and always love the kid’s bunk bed room. Went up to Stone Brewery World Bistro to meet up with our friends that are local & then hit up Legoland the next day. What I like about Legoland is that it is a loop layout…so we started the opposite way that we had that last time. This time Ryder was able to go on every rollercoaster (which are very kid friendly) & it was fun! Didn’t mean for this to turn into a recap but it was! Happy Birthday to the light of my life! 🌟
