2025 had its ups and downs.

The year started off dealing with the destruction of the Eaton Fire, and within the same month my beloved Bert passed away from Cancer. A month to the day after that, my sweet Lily (whom I rescued off the streets in Baltimore during college) passed away from cancer as well.

As the year has closed out, I’ve been dealing with a lot of stress as I’ve yet again been taking care of another sick cat, as well as dealing with my own health issues.

In between all the hard times though, here’s just a quick snapshot of all the moments that made it worth it. ❤️

I spent time with family and friends, and made a lot of new friends too. My Grandma turned 90, my sister had another baby, and I even taught my niece how to do obstacle courses. I visited Colorado and camped at Yosemite twice. Some of my best friends got married. I went to every single Angel City FC home game, despite our lack of winning. I won a bunch of awards at work and got to mentor some amazing students. I foraged (A LOT).

As we near 2026, I’m optimistic that the future will be bright. Here’s to a happy and healthy New Year ✨
