Practical Magic is out TODAY! So we asked our COOL classmates: Who’s your favorite witch in the bunch?

Oooohh… but honestly, we love them ALL. Ahahahaha! (witchy cackle) #CoolisinSession

AGATHA GUTIERREZ

My favorite witch would probably have to be Bellatrix Lestrange. She’s one of the first witches I think of because she’s just so unmistakable. Putting aside her morals (obviously haha), I like that she knows how to make the scene hers, has so much presence, and genuinely doesn’t seem to care what anyone thinks. I think we all need a little bit of that sometimes haha. And I love her whole curly-haired look.

DEXTER DE VERA

Isabella Rossellini’s character Lisle Von Rhuman in Death Becomes Her is my favorite witch because she serves immortality with a side of champagne, cheekbones, and questionable life choices. Lisle is glamorous, mysterious, and delightfully terrifying, offering eternal youth like it’s a luxury spa treatment with absolutely no refunds.

GELO ARUCAN

My favorite witch is Elphaba. I love how she is unbothered about being different and she inspires me to defy gravity!

HANNA PECHON

I can’t forget the story of the Owen sisters in Practical Magic because they are both adults trying to live in the modern world while carrying a family’s curse. That stuck to me since ‘98 and had me thinking now of the “generational curse” or “sins of our fathers” cultural lore.

HANS PASCUAL

My favorite witch is Alex Russo! She's fun, carefree, confident, rebellious, and an icon who helped shaped a generation. From her witty lines to the way she infuses her personality when uses magic, Alex Russo will always be that witch!!

CHRISTINA ZABAT

Bonnie Bennett from The Vampire Diaries
She has died and come back more times than I can count for her friends and loved ones, killing immortals, becoming a ghost, serving as an Anchor to the Other Side, and even getting stuck in a 1994 time loop with Damon. But past the fierce protectiveness, it’s her empathy that keeps dragging her into a “will-do-it-for-the-plot” territory. Like, same, girl. Same. In the finale, she travels the world, which is what I’m doing right now and intend to do so until I die.

Midnight Sweat captures two girls caught in a moment of pure release!!! Dancing, dripping with heat and joy, somewhere between exhaustion and euphoria. Letting go of expectations, embracing pleasure and finding connection in movement. Nothing matters except the shared feeling of being alive!

Standing at the cusp of adulthood, Mikha revisits a place she once saw as epic. While such returns can occasionally leave us feeling that things are “worse than remembered,” being rich in nostalgia is a privilege; everyone deserves the chance to reclaim a bit of that childhood magic. In this specific excursion, childlike wonder veils the reality that an aquarium is merely an artificial ocean, rather than a natural wonder of the world.
