As we close out this school year, we want to thank and recognize all of the amazing hard work our staff has put into founding the Black Psychology Society!🤍

We especially want to thank our President, Ryen Clark, for her vision, leadership, and dedication in bringing this organization to life. Her commitment and execution have helped create a lasting impact on our community.

It has been an incredible year serving and uplifting the Black community, and we are so grateful for our executive board: Ryen Clark, Da’Vionnah Hutchins, Tajinia Magee, Cierra Anguiano, Amariah Scott, Jordan Daniel, Michael Atkins, and Temi Bakare.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds!✨

Justus Clark is locked in on reaching the next level—by any means necessary. While he’s putting in the work to separate himself on the track, he’s going even harder in the classroom. With his sights set on some of the nation’s top universities, his mindset is clear: become an elite academic prospect first, then let his athletic ability speak for itself.

That approach is paying off. The Destiny Christian Academy senior has earned scholarship offers from all five of his top choices—UCLA, Oregon, UC San Diego, Pepperdine, and San Diego State. Now, with a major decision ahead, one thing is certain: even bigger opportunities are on the horizon.

I'm super late to the game 😂. However, this needed to be shared! *prepare for some "light" reading...

A couple months ago, my buddy Josh (serving as intern staff for InterVarsity) & I were chatting about our upcoming Summer Conference. He had mentioned to me that he'd been appointed to coordinate worship for that week. He also expressed how iffy he had felt to take on this responsibility. Since I planned to go as well, I offered to lend a helping hand in whatever capacity he needed. He said he'd let me know.

Sure enough, a couple days later, I receive a text from Josh. He invited me to serve with him as Worship Coordinator for our Summer Conference! Without hesitation, I humbly accepted. Little did I know just what I was getting myself into 😂. Little did I know how vastly different leading a full team, managing different moving parts beforehand and at the conference, would be to solely serving on it.

As Josh and I prepared in the weeks leading up to the conference, I felt God pressing on my heart to share a song I had been blessed with by @urbana.25 back in 2022 - what is being sung in this video. It's called the Thank You Medley. I love it for many different reasons - the simultaneous blend of 4 different languages (English, Korean, Portuguese, and Zulu), the different melodic lines for each language, the focus on the vocals, etc. 1 thing that strikes me most is the simplicity lying behind the complexity. All we are doing in giving Thanks to Jesus!

Suffice to say, it was an amazing time! I am so grateful for the team I was blessed to lead & serve alongside for the week. I truly can't THANK God enough for moving so powerfully IN my life and THROUGH my life. Thank you, Jesus.
