with highschool coming to an end, i hate to say it but i think ill miss wrestling the most. my relationship with wrestling has definitely had its ups and downs (probably more downs than ups), but as my career went by i realized it was more than just a sport. in the beginning, if i didnt win, i wasn’t enough, but really winning isn’t the only thing that matters. the people you meet, the bonds you form, and the memories you make are what are important. i’ve been told that it goes by fast and for a while i thought they were full of B.S. but really it went by in the blink of an eye. it feels like i just asked my parents if i could join wrestling. without them by my side i wouldn’t be where i am today. My parents came to every wrestling match i had, no matter how far of a drive it was. even if it was 4 hours away and there was a chance i wouldn’t wrestle they still came. they are by far my biggest supporters. if anyone has made it this far, take my advice, don’t quit because it’s too hard or your “not good enough”, stay in it, keep fighting. you don’t have to be the best, you just have to be enough for yourself.
