There’s something about dining at @ryetavern on a night like this.

Dating back to 1792, this Plymouth tavern once welcomed travelers along Old Sandwich Road, including John Adams (🎵 I know him 🎵)

The lobster gnocchi was SENSATIONAL and I always have to get @islandcreekoysters when I see them on the menu. 🦪

This was SUCH a cool stop on my tour of colonial era restaurants in New England!

Destination: Plymouth, MA📍

🌅 I am not a morning person but woke up at 6 a.m. to enjoy the sun rise over the harbor from our Air B&B (3)

🦑 Had lunch at @woodsseafood. You can't go wrong with anything you order here but I really recommend the calamari & crab cakes (4-6)

🍦 Had to try @ziggysplymouthma new fall flavors (apple crisp & cranberry harvest) because I'm sick of summer and ready for fall (7)

🐋 Then headed on a whale watching expedition with @captainjohnboats, which if you have never done I highly recommend. Seeing animals in their natural habitats beats seeing them stuffed in aquariums and aqua parks (1-2 & 8)

🍅 On the way to dinner stopped by @bramhallscountrystore to pick up some goodies. Tip: if they have the brown butter chocolate chip cookies get them! Also @la_ru drank a gallon of their coffee milk (9-11)

🦞 Had a lovely outdoor dinner in the middle of the woods at @ryetavern. Tip: Get the deviled eggs with caviar for an appetizer and the lobster roll. That was the best lobster roll I've ever had (12-14)

🪨 Capped off the night seeing the underwhelming Plymouth rock and the very quaint Grist Mill.
