Finally Making A Hell’s Heroes post.
Back in 2019 when I started this band there were two festivals I wanted to play, this last weekend I got to play one of them, I had an amazing time at @hellsheroes , would do it again in a heart beat. Thanks to my band for making the dream come true, thanks to Kim for always being by my side (and the merch booth), and thanks to everyone who watched our set!

K&G will return with new music ⚔️⚒️⚔️

Stormbringer Fest 2 is this week. It’s hard to believe it’s already been a full year since the last one. I was surprised that Evgeny and company were bringing this back to Ralph’s because I had heard rumors of a bigger venue and because Ralph’s isn’t ideal for this kind of fest - especially since it has expanded a bit. It’s going to be interesting to see how it comes together, especially if it’s all indoors again (the weather unfortunately doesn’t look promising - looks like a good chance of rain for all three days). That being said, the fest has what is most important which is a mighty lineup of some of the absolute best underground traditional heavy metal North America has to offer. This lineup is really spectacular if you have been following the underground trad metal scene of the last half decade. Visigoth and Traveler are among the leaders of the new crop of true metal. Traveler is more in the sci-fi themed space speed Iron Maiden-y metal mold while Visigoth is more in the sword and steel Manowar-y realm. Then you’ve got three of the best newer female-fronted metal bands around with heavy thumpers Savage Master and their always popular stage show, speed masters Solicitor, and Sanhedrin - which basically sound like if Iron Maiden came out in 1993. I was looking forward to checking out Shadowlands but they are dealing with a drummer injury so it’s not clear if they are playing - TBD! Then you’ve got a couple of cool Texas acts in Night Cobra and Ryghar. Night Cobra is an off-shoot of the Eternal Champion tree sound-wise but they are sci-fi/ John Carpenter-movie themed instead of sword and sorcery stuff. Ryghar I haven’t seen yet but their album has some excellent songs. Knight & Gallow and Chamber Mage are two great newer bands I saw in Fresno recently, and Adamantis and Concilium provide good local New England representation. 80’s legends Destructor round things out. The rest of the fest bands I will be checking out for the first time. The pre-show is killer with local legends Matthias Steele, thrash mavens Lich King, trad doomers Mourn The Light and power shredders Perrenial Quest. Thunderforge and Oxblood Forge I’ll be checking out for the first time.
