POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

1,000 photos. 1 stop-motion. 1 kid who owned the dance floor. 💃

A picture is worth 1,000 words. This stop-motion is 1,000 pictures. We did the math and that’s a million words, so we’ll keep this short. 📸

This is our bike shop after dark. Once the tools go away, our event team “AMPED” turns the floor into a full-on party. This night was the afterparty for the neighborhood block party, and my daughter Simone showed up and ran the dance floor. Nobody stood a chance. Her joy took over the whole room. 💃

Huge love to Rylan, who shot every frame and spent way too many hours stitching it together. Worth it.

Bike shop by day. Dance floor by night. Come through next time. ⚡

See you soon,
Charles

East coast summer pt.1

Drove 2000ish miles from Leadville back to CT. Got started on various projects right away to fill my time and not go crazy (the ups and downs of being unemployed). Built a ramp for the lake to keep the boats both “in” and “out” of the water at the same time. Did some yard work around the house and some spring cleanups.

Mother’s Day and Matt’s birthday in NYC was my first time really experiencing the city, which is wild being that I grew up only an hour or so away. I feel very lucky to have such a loving family. Big buildings are cool, trains are cool, the NY subway system is insanely cool. Good times.

Managed to have friends from across the east coast and Utah in town on the same weekend. Filmed for the @bofish.tri and found some time to get up to our usual antics.

Finally rode 50 miles, yippee. Was a really good ride.

Boat projects, lots and lots of tedious, annoying, frustrating boat projects.

Met up with Sam and Emily at his dad’s camp in the Adirondacks. Helped with some projects and got a nice day on the water on the Fulton Chain Lakes, until the motor died and I had to jump start it with a wrench, sketchy.

BEYOND THE SYLLABUS EPISODE 1 OUT NOW!

The idea for this show happened one night in 2024 when me and Jake were sitting in the LB 13th floor common room watching the YouTube video where RiceGum mails himself in a box. At that moment I thought I need to make a universe where it’s acceptable for a character to mail themself in a box. Thus, the birth of Archie Finnwyler. From outlining the characters with Cal last semester up until the all night edit sessions with Laokratis a week ago, this has been an extremely collaborative process. Everyone who worked on this show is amazing, we got so many wickedly talented people in one place. Go stream the episode (link is in my bio) and keep an eye out for more stuff on @beyondthesyllabus.emchan

Video from a trip to the lake last summer while I was back east for a week. @rylanbrittain pulled out his super 8 camera and captured some very nostalgic looking footage and I couldn’t not make a little video out of it

Summer ‘25

Not sure I could’ve ever thought a summer back in my hometown would’ve been so special. It takes leaving home to realize how much you really love it. I think I’ll miss all of these people more leaving this time than ever. Thanks for all the good times, until next summer ❤️
