🏐🔥 3,348 ASSISTS, TWO SCHOOL RECORDS, AND A WHOLE LOT OF HEART! 🔥🏐

Meet Ryleigh Cothran, Ashville High School's Class of 2027 standout setter/DS who is proving that toughness and talent make one heck of a combination!

💪 Check out her 2026 numbers!

🏐 1,040 Assists (3,348 career)
🔥 431 Digs (1,267 career)
💥 107 Kills (337 career)
🎯 105 Aces (366 career)
🚫 42 Blocks (115 career)

🏆 School record holder in BOTH single-season and career assists!

But here's what makes Ryleigh's story even more impressive!

After undergoing reconstructive surgery on BOTH knees in 2019, Ryleigh continues to battle painful joint issues that will eventually require another surgery. But she's not letting that stop her from playing the game she loves! ❤️

📚 3.95 GPA
🩺 Future CRNA
🏐 Headed to Pearl River Community College next fall!

She's active in numerous school organizations, volunteers in her community, and helps younger volleyball players improve their game. She also credits longtime coach and mentor Hunter Samples for much of her success!

😂 And when she's not dishing out assists? She's building Legos, loving all things sharks and Harry Potter, or keeping everybody laughing with her hilarious voice impersonations!

Record breaker. Fighter. Scholar. Future college athlete. And apparently a comedian, too! 😂

👏 Ryleigh Cothran, you've got the heart of a champion, and Average Joe's Sports Talk is cheering you on!

🔥 Ashville fans, let's show this young lady some LOVE! 💚🏐
