… last Thursday I was at @radiokulturhaus for an evening organized by @unsafeandsounds with a focus on organ music!

I was absolutely mesmerized by the great set on the organ by @clairemsinger 🫶 the way she built beautiful sound worlds by layering the different timbres of the organ registers - seemingly endless variations of sounds flooded the room getting intenser every minute, only to be beautifully deconstructed again ☺️ an absolute joy!
Then @_fennesz played a very impressive set that meandered between noise and melody!
Then Singer and Fennesz joined forces and played two peaces together - a world premiere 😎 and it’s a match made in heaven! Their musical worlds interweave as if they belong together. Bravo bravo 👏
Composer and trombonist @ryo.chloe combines electronics, effects and trombone in a very harmonious way - taking the audience on a sound voyage👌
Organist @hampuslindwall showed his masterful skills and next level compositions! His high energy and quick playing result in an eclectic, multi-layered & intense set.
What a fantastic evening!

Clearly at home in my role as the naked trumpet player, it was an honor & a VIBE to work with @floholzinger & a cast of multi-disciplinary artists on a 9-hour performance last month in Prinzendorf, Austria @nitschfoundation . This is also the first time I‘ve played in a brass band since I was 13! Having to read sheet music again and perform @gibranacervantes beautiful composition in a procession all felt XTRA epic. The power of brass 🎺 and humans actually. Thankful to have been part of this collective mega-production Pfingstspiel, met the folks and seen the stunts from the inside. 5 days in the CUNTryside to create a show where I felt like I was on the extreme sports channel 🏆 Ace review of the piece in @nytimes 🔥🖤🔥

It’s been two months already, and as we slowly start preparing for next year’s edition, we’d like to take a moment to *applaud* everyone involved in the technical setup of this year’s ZUNDER 💥

A huge thank you to Applaus Veranstaltungstechnik, Clearsound Productions, and Wulz AV Center for all your much-appreciated support, to every helping hand behind the scenes for your tireless efforts, to @katiwid and @curly_tom for working their magic with lights & audio, and to @emilsteixner and @rawsyntax for bringing the indoor and outdoor visuals to life. And last but not least to @eldanijarosch for capturing everything so nicely! Here’s to everyone who helped make ZUNDER look, sound, and feel the way it did. See you next year! ✨

🎥 @madame_mors & @hoellhex also to you!! 🪄

We are so happy to join WE ARE FOUNDING A CITY for the first 2 days of a 4-days festival!

In the 7th edition of the Post-Human Social Club, we explore the future of the city from a more-than-human perspective.Whose future, and whose city, are we actually talking about? And who is this »we« that is founding a city here? Does it include the ants, rats and cockroaches that hold together our underworld? The pigeons and ravens that shit on our human, all-too-human order in highly creative ways?

A city may not begin with its founding. It has been co-created for millennia. So when did it begin? When the first plants began to photosynthesize? When the first worms prepared the soil? Or when algae slowly became oil — or when wheat domesticated us?

We want to expand how we think, feel and act in relation to the city through a multisensory perspective. What architectural innovations are being discussed in rabbit warrens? What atmospheric currents are swallows reading? Are wasp nests prepared for the coming Super El Niño? And have the foxes already grown a winter coat for the collapse of the Gulf Stream?

Performances, concerts, participatory installations, collective hallucinations of a no-longer-human future, reading cloud formations, and inhaling the odors of roadkill decomposition become practices for dreaming a city beyond the horizons of human imagination.

Come and hallucinate with us! And stay till 30th ... much more programm: https://wearefoundingacity.net
