A rare post of my teaching life. Words cannot express how much joy this season brought me. My students worked hard week after week, and on their second trip to world championships, they made semi finals for the first time ever.

Blessed to have been on a staff with some of my closest friends. They made being a caption head so much less stressful. And I’m truly thankful for the final product we got to design. Seeing students get bought in and work hard not only pushed us staff to do more, but gave me back that spark I had for the activity.

9-10 years of teaching. 4 different schools. 6-7 years of HIPE. But HIPE 2026, thank you so much for making my final season, my favorite season.

SHOW DAY: HOUSTON, TX

First Texas show is DONE and we had such a great time. Tomorrow is San Antonio and it’s going to be so good! Short caption tonight because I am tired and can’t wait to sleep on this bus.

Also this first pic contains almost the entire snare line and 1 quad….evan should not have bought a FULL SIZE air mattress👀👀

SHOW DAY: WHITEWATER, WI (7/11)

Last night we had our second show at Whitewater and a rehearsal day today in Iowa. We changed and cleaned a lot of our show and tomorrow we get to show it!

We stopped at a crazy rest stop last night and oh my god it was HUGE. It had literally everything but too bad it wasn’t a buy stop….I’m having such a great time with this group and making new friends and new connections everyday. Love all my buddies here!

DAY 06 with the Spartans. Today we got rained out all 3 blocks and decided to work on part 5. The basses had a pretty chill day. Most of the day was subs for us which i had a great time although, my stomach has been acting up and hoping it’s not the food. starting to get more consistent on our show music and exercises. Im really enjoying the staff here so far and im glad to have grace back today. Hoping tomorrow will go better for me
