I might ruffle some feathers but If you’re a competitor who tries to “lock in” all week , that may be exactly why you can’t fight night

REALITY ID… you really shouldn’t be focused much on fighting during fight week/day

Yep I said it.. with 10 years of data to back it up and yes, these are actual messages I got the last week during the lead up/day of major competitions

Can you relate? Either way, make sure to focus on these things during fight week…

You don’t need more film study, motivation, hype, or deep analysis

You need more fun
You need to feel more free
You need more perspective to see the bigger picture… that you won’t do this forever

In between matches, you should have a short term memory for both wins and losses and focusing on nothing more than having fun, fighting hard, and collecting data for the next one

Which one of these perspectives would help you the most your next competition? Drop it below?

PS - In these photos are athletes competing at the U23 world championships (3rd and 5th) and the BKFC. If they can thrive on the big stage, imagine what this could do on regional scene? Fight week mindset, fight day mindset, fight night nerves, pre-fight anxiety, overthinking before competition, competing freely, combat athlete mental performance, mental coaching for fighters, wrestling competition mindset, U23 World Championships, BKFC mindset, bare knuckle boxing mindset, big stage pressure, competition nerves, fight week overthinking, staying loose before a fight, having fun competing, trust your training, fight night composure, athlete perspective, between-match reset, resetting after a win, resetting after a loss, short memory in competition, staying present in competition, reducing self-imposed pressure, less hype before fights, enjoying competition, learning from each match, freedom under pressure wreslting women’s wreslting

I wandered out of my Hometown with no team or guidance right into the Fight Industry 🕺🥊 But also im not a person who knows everything / always learning from everyone in every field, its a good quality to have. Its been very interesting trying to understand many different types of archetypes and fighters highly enlightening & educational for me on my journey. When its teaching on demand i can do. Im a free agent now, mercenary for hire 🥷 im available for Private Training/DM For Details, i have a private location, you would be surprised where. 🎼🎼🥷🎼🎼❤️‍🔥

You can’t beat everyone, but you can BREAK anyone and @ryupetersen proved this In a big way b

Most fighters would feel nerves as a +330 underdog with their career on the line.

Not @ryupetersen

He came into the main event for BKFC Bethlehem doubted, much like @aiemannzahabi against Jose Aldo.

Ryan took heavy damage early. But his heart and the mental skills he’s built over the past four weeks with The Unfair Advantage helped him stay focused.

He found the shot when it mattered. First-round TKO with :10s left!

Massive props to Ryan for his hard work and grit.
And to his team for getting him ready.

Remember… the fight isn’t over just because it’s ugly

Pull this comeback up when a bad start makes you think you’re done.

I’ve been meaning to check out @wkxhumboldt the next time I end up in Fortuna, and dropping off an order at @clendenensciderworks seemed to be the perfect excuse to drop in to a class 🤓

Clendenen’s expanded their selection this season and now has both the large and mini jars of the Plain, as well as minis of Caramelized Onion, Garlic Herb and Feisty Garlic (and of course I gotta get a gallon of fresh juice 🍎 because I couldn’t think of anything better to get me through an hour of kickboxing + the drive back to Arcata).

My friend, BKFC fighter and all around nice guy @ryupetersen opened up his own gym recently and I had the pleasure of trying out the 5pm kickboxing class… if you couldn’t tell from the sweat on my shirt it was well worth it 🤝 first class is FREE so come try it out!

Supporting two local businesses in one trip, I’d call that a success. 🙂‍↕️

Crying.
As I write this I am crying because just like @ryupetersen , I sought a hypnotherapist for my suicidal depression and the chronic anxiety causing it.

At the time, I was 30 years old. I’m now 38 and I’ve been a hypnotherapist since.

Ryan and I are both fighters who both claim that Hypnotherapy didn’t just help us survive but it helped us to thrive.

Knowing that I have helped so many people like Ryan is such a blessing. Seriously. It makes me feel so happy to be alive, to survive those evil, demonic, depressing thoughts. Although I wasn’t the one to help Ryan initially, I worked with him prior to this fight by allowing him to listen to my own personal hypnotherapy track. I made this track for myself and the purpose was to help me relax, focus and execute in all aspects of life. From professional, to personal, from work to sport, from daily activities to performing in front of the Billions of people on Earth, this track keeps me calm, confident and in control. This track keeps me thriving and winning.

Ryan said he felt so peaceful that when he came out of this hypnosis track. He woke up and began his walk to the ring and he literally won the greatest comeback fight in BKFC history.

I mainly work with business owners, sales professionals and athletes but if you’re someone who just wants general emotional and trauma relief, please DM me.

I have help and love for anyone who is willing to help and love themselves.

Thank you, Ryan and thank you @bareknucklefc , @thebareknuckleshow and @soscianetwork

I love you all.

🚨 FROM THE BRINK… TO VICTORY! 🚨🥊💥

Ryan “Ryu” Petersen (@ryupetersen ) was getting blitzed with an early onslaught of hard combinations from the opening bell by Gregoris Cisneros… and it looked like the fight might be over….

But Ryan had OTHER PLANS. 😤

He WEATHERED THE STORM, dug DEEP into that warrior mentality and somehow pulled off an INSANE KO WITH ONE SECOND LEFT IN ROUND ONE! 🤯🔥

Ryan Joins @mikey2gunzzobc on Our Bleepin’ City to break down the fight, the mindset, the adversity and what’s NEXT!
