a few seconds of a moment i’ll carry for a very long time.

to be in the room again with a woman who has shaped so much of who i am was a gift i don’t quite have words for. the last time i got to work beside you was the third quarter of senior year in high school. so much life has happened since then, and getting to witness the woman you have continued to become, to watch you grow, change, create, and conquer, has been one of my great privileges.

to enter your process again, to be held by your work, and to move through something so deeply personal alongside you felt like coming home to a part of myself i hadn’t visited in years. your genius seeps through your veins, incomparable and entirely your own. you deserve every drop of joy and beam of light finding its way to you @soymakesmoves @s.0.y 🖤

“Uncomfortable”

1st Runner Up at the Choreographers Cup.

To be vulnerable-

I have had a very difficult year in my personal life. I’ve been introduced to feelings, pains, and visceral sensations I previously didn’t know existed.

The movement language of this work is tense, restricted, and uncomfortable. It is to be stuck in your mind and body when that is not a peaceful place to be. It is trying to escape yourself; your thoughts and your skin.

I am lighter after this process. This night and these people are etched into my memory forever.

Thank you to all who connected with the work. That means the world to me.

i’ve learned that being afraid doesn’t mean i shouldn’t do something—it means I should be brave enough to try.

i was scared to fly across the country by myself but i didn’t let my fear stop me from doing something i really wanted to do. because of that this was one of the best experiences of my life.

to sawyer thank you you so much for trusting me me to be in the piece there really is no one like you i will forever be great for this opportunity to dance beside such incredible + talented dancers so thank you so so much

to the people i shared the stage with you all are so incredibly inspiring. thank you for welcoming me in with open arms and open hearts i have so much love for each + every one of you. PEANUT BUTTER + JELLY

Choreographers cup 26’

Where to find the words! Being able to be a part of this process has been an experience I will never ever forget. When you take a group of humans as devoted as this and give a choreographer as incredibly inspired as sawyer the ability to create, yeah that’s magic.

Sawyer my heart goes out to you in ways I can’t really articulate. The growth I’ve been able to experience through working with you has been pivotal and is something I cherish very dearly. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of this.

To my lovely cast members, thank you for accepting me into an environment that was seemingly foreign and making me feel at home. I’m so grateful to have been able to experience this with such lovely souls!

@artistssimplyhuman nationals filled the soul🪐

getting to move with people I call family in a place that was home for so many years is something I’ll never take for granted. every reunion hug, every class, every kid who reminded me why I am obsessed with this art form, every genuine connection, I left feeling incredibly inspired. there is something so special about continuing to grow alongside the people who have shaped me into the artist I am today.

a huge thank you to @brahamlogancrane for inviting the assistant alumni back to spend the week dancing, reconnecting, and performing together. the family you’ve created has genuinely shifted the course of my life. to have a place that continues to welcome us home while celebrating how we’ve grown is such a rare gift, and I’m endlessly grateful to be a part of it.

I am beyond honored I got to assist the one and only @tovariswilson with his Company Intensive on Tour pieces. being invited into your creative process was such a gift. I continue to be fascinated by who you are as an artist and human, and I’m deeply grateful we were able to deepen our connection. thank you for trusting me and having me by your side!

and @hannahgossett__ ,one of the greatest joys of my life is getting to dance with you. you have an extraordinary way of making people feel seen, heard, and capable beyond what they believe is possible. i’ve decided that’s the closest thing we have to tangible magic.

the end of an era..

I have spent the last 14 years in countless studios, ballrooms, rehersals, and stages and without a doubt I will carry those memories with me through the rest of my life.

@summit.danceproject has been a second home to me for the past 5 years. I am so grateful for my team and the people who have made me who I am today. Cheers to Senior Company ‘26🥂

Thank you to my teachers and mentors, @toniablomquist @s.0.y @maxiriley @_mia_soleil_ @jaclynweisenbeck @alenajordan everything I have a achieved I have to give credit to you. You all are such pillars in my life and have lead me through the years with grace and wisdom. And of course thank you to my parents, without you none of this would have happened.

How lucky am I to have something that is so hard to say goodbye to.
