Our Blue Meets Green Earth Day event was everything I hoped for and more. The kids came out, cleaned up the streets, and took pride in their community—and that alone meant everything. After the cleanup, we headed over to Koris Eats where the kids enjoyed waffles and cupcakes from Cupcake Cutie Boutique dessert truck. The smiles were priceless. One moment that really stuck with me—one of the kids asked, “Are we going to do this again?”
That right there is why I do this. That’s why I love being a police officer. Moments like this remind me why I can’t walk away.

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this day possible:
💙 My fellow officers and detectives who came out to support
💚 The Mount Vernon DPW for providing cleanup supplies
🚒 The Mount Vernon Fire Department for stopping by with hats and showing love to the kids. With support from Dr. Pierce of the STEAM Academy, who came out and walked with us and his students, it meant even more.
And @koriseat_restaurant_ for supplying the food and his restaurant for the children to eat, Thank you💙👮🏽💚🧁🧇🍗
