🕊 We are honoured to be a part of the Joint Module with our colleagues from @macewanun & @mun.club.ucu - “Model United Nations” - as part of the academic course "United Nations in the Global Governance”. The initial session was opened by the speeches bloc of our incredible Faculty Advisors, partners and experts from Canada and Ukraine. 💬 Honourable Dc. Douglas Roche told us about the @unitednations and peacekeeping in the modern world. "We are living in transforming moment in history, we are moving from the culture of wars to the culture of the peace”, – Dr. Roche said. He underscored the UN documents, adopted to ensure the world peace and reminded us just how crucial it is to secure the cultural peaсe: “We should spend less on the military and more on the development”. As our Q&A that followed switched to the talks about the prospects of a nuclear war, he stressed once again, that “UN is building a condition for peace”. 📌 Can Russia use nuclear weapons against Ukraine? Find out the answer in the link in bio! 🇺🇳 Students of @naukma_official, @macewanu and @ucu_official were divided into break-out rooms and had an opportunity to open up about their countries, get acquainted and talk about the UN. It was a one-of-a-kind first-hand diplomatic experience! We express a deep gratitude to our partners, colleagues, students for such an interesting session. There would not be a better way to wrap it up than to use the words of Hon. Dc. Douglas Roche: “United Nations have saved millions, even billions of lives”. See you in a week for the full-in practical course experience 🤍
