Horror Book Recs With Ghosts 👻😈
QOTD: Whats your favourite horror movie?

We love the super natural over here, and these 6 books did an amazing job of not only scaring the life out of me, but also telling such a fantastic story. Those books are 👀

Ring by Koji Suzuki
The Haunting of Velkwood by @gwendolynkiste
The Sun Down Motel by @simonestjames
This Wretched Valley by @_jennykiefer
Maggie’s Grave by @paperbacksandpugs
Hell House by Richard Matheson

If you’re looking for a fright, I’d absolutely recommend all of these books, they’re definitely on the creepier side of the horror books I’ve read and the ghosts feel too real at points 😂 anyways tagged a few to make your own version of this, but of course no pressure!

Empire of the Damned full-colour special edition 🩸⚔️
QOTD: would you be a good or bad vampire?

I was gifted this special edition by one of my dearest friends @nomadliterature and it might be the greatest piece of bookmail I have ever received. I really wanted to pick this up at the EOTD event in London but missed out. I guess life works in mysterious ways though 😂

This edition is beautiful, the artwork was already insane, but the added colour just elevates them all. It really brings the story to life that bit more and helps you imagine scenes so much better. Damned was my favourite out of the trilogy and I’m so thankful to have this edition in the roster 🤩

EDEN: BLURB REVEAL 🌲🏚️🦌

Guys I’m so excited to share the blurb for my first ever book, Eden! 🥲 Honestly this whole thing has been a wild ride so far, and I appreciate you all for the constant support and hype every time I post a snippet or a story!

We’re hovering over the 60,000 word mark right now and making great progress. The story has really developed and everything is starting to come together! It’s dark, it’s heartbreaking and it’ll make you cry, just ask @libraryofnicolealexa 😂. I started writing this at a very hard time in my life and it’s been a way to get all the emotions and pain out and put into something productive. So grateful for that too 🙂‍↕️

Also, thank you so much for 3000 followers, you guys are so cool, and I can’t wait to share more of Eden with you 🙂‍↕️🖤 love ya’ll fr 🖤

EDEN coming soon 🥀

☠️𝔗𝔢𝔫 𝔟𝔢𝔣𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔢𝔫𝔡☠️

OK, WE ALL KNOW I'M NOT READING 10 BOOKS BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR (and if I do, they're not all going to be physical reads)
And I've seen people doing smaller numbers, but "10 before the end" just flows so much better

So here's 10 books from my physical TBR that are high on my list, and I would like to get to sometime soon

As always, tagging some of my angels so I can see the 10 books they're not likely but will try to get to before the end of the year 🫀🖤

The lovely @bibiturns.pages tagged me in this over a year ago.. oops
Trying to catch up on challenges

Wrath: a book I didn't enjoy
Tender is the Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica
Don't get me wrong, this is a GREAT book, but you're not supposed to be enjoying it. It made me feel a lot of yucky things

Envy: a book I want to live in
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Still one of the most beautiful settings I've ever read

Pride: a big/intimidating book
Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff
I KNOW, IM SORRY I STILL HAVEN'T READ IT BUT IM SCARED!! It's so big 😭

Greed: a book I borrowed
Call Me By Your Name by Andrè Aciman
This is bad, I've had this for years, and I don't even know the person who leant this to me
She's a mates ex, HOW do I give it back after all these years 😅

Gluttony: a book I could reread
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Sick of me talking about this one yet?? I did just recently reread it, too

Sloth: a book that's been on my tbr the longest
A Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
Ok, idk which one is actually THE oldest, but I got this not long after the release date, which was the 5th of November... 2019...

Lust: a book I bought for the cover
The Binding by Bridget Collins
It's just stunning, idk what else to say

Tagging some darlings as always 🫀🖤

Thanks to my sweet @thehauntedspiderslibrary I share with you my current read. I just started Diavola a few hours ago and can’t put it down - haunted houses always tend to do that for me.

Everyone tagged - feel free to post your current read as well 🖤🖤

Thank you @daniilovesyouu for tagging me in this challenge! I get so sad when I look at the forgotten books on my shelf because they deserve all the love whilst I ignore them every time I pick up a new book 🥲 I hope that I one day be able to read them!

To all the tagged people, feel free to post your forgotten books and show them some love in putting them out of your shelves for once 🥲🫶🏻
