Blocking a place mat I made from some acrylic yarn I bought from a local discount store. I really love the colors in it and thought it would go well in my home. I used a 5mm hook and just rows of single crochet (US terms) double crochet in UK terms.

The yarn is Premium Acrylic Yarn 100g skein. The color is called Multi Hilo. It's an 8 ply DK yarn from Porta Craft.

What are you making for the #buddycraftalong2025 with @s.knitz ?

Good morning everyone I hope you are all well. Finally the sun has come out today after days of rain!

I found this gorgeous yarn in a discount store a while back and wasn't sure what to make with it. I really loved the color blend. It's an acrylic yarn. I am just doing single crochet stitches and seeing how the different colours play out. I am using a 5mm hook. Though I think I should have used a 4mm hook so the pattern is closer together.
