It’s been more than a decade since I last attended @klibf.my , back when I was still in high school! 📚✨ As someone who mainly reads English books, I usually skipped it because I assumed most of the books would be in Malay. Turns out, I was seriously missing out. 🥹💔

This year’s book haul was filled with incredible English books written by our own talented Malaysian authors, and surprisingly, I also picked up quite a number of Malay books! The last time I read Malay novels was in high school for syllabus purposes, so my Malay reading skills are definitely very rusty. 😂 But these books sounded so intriguing that I just had to bring them home!

I also had a lovely time stopping by Kobo’s booth @kobo_my @caveman.os and finally upgraded to the Kobo Libra Colour (while still keeping my Kobo Clara Colour 🤭) and grabbed a stylus too! Beyond the books, I discovered so many new authors and genuinely had such an amazing experience. Safe to say, you’ll be seeing me at KLIBF every year from now on! 🫶🏾

I caved and got myself a Kobo Libra Colour ✨ (yes, even though I already own a Kobo Clara Colour 🤭) and a Kobo Stylus because I’ve been obsessed with annotating lately 📚💕👀

Picked them up at KLIBF/PBAKL and had such a great experience with @caveman.os ! ✨

Nearly 2 years of my life, now has come to a bittersweet but beautiful close 🤍

As I walked into the finale watch party hall, I felt everything rush back. Every fight. Every doubt. Every late nights. The moment when making this series felt heavier than it should’ve. Losing my beloved grandma midway into the shoot nearly broke me - but the show had to go on. And somehow it came together in the best way possible. Balanced by moments of joy so pure they reminded me that this is the path I’m meant to walk.

To the leads, HODs, casts and crew: you were extraordinary. You brought your A-game to this and made the dream a reality. To my writers - @hadimnor @zuligooli @lingges_baskaran #miramustafa - this show would not be the way it is without you. Thank you for trusting the madness and elevating it. To my loved one and best friends who stood by me when the road felt rocky and bleak - you know who you are. I survived because of you. To @anildaj and Kyle, thank you for giving me with this opportunity. To my forever calm producer @khalednovel for always lending out a helping hand. To my maverick director @jasonchong.sol, as I’ve said before - you are a mentor every young filmmaker would want, everything a showrunner needs and everything a human being should experience. And to the new friends and fierce champion who emerged during the release - your words, your reviews and your conversations filled my heart in ways I’ll never forget 🤍

And finally, which I rarely do (but deeply should), I wanna thank myself. For dreaming this up. For not quitting. For enduring quietly. For standing firm. For not letting naysayers and their ignorance break you. For giving your debut your all.

I’m gonna miss this deeply. I know this is not the end. This is only the beginning. I hope to do more of this. I hope to keep telling stories. I hope to see more people discover this show, feel what we felt making it, and keep the conversation alive.

Till then, goodbye Bad Cop. You’ve been one hell of an experience. Thank you 🫂🤍

2025 was one hell of a ride, but this time around, there’s no rewind ⏪ because I’m dedicating it to STRANGER THINGS ❤️‍🔥

Before the final episode releases tomorrow and we have to bid goodbye to the best series ever made, here’s a little throwback to when we attended the event (it wasn’t the best, but at least there was something 🥲). Everything was extra special because I had the best company ever 🥹🤍

I’m mentally not prepared to say goodbye, but at least there’s a digital footprint for me to look back at ✨

Striding into the 30s! All eyes on me imma send it up to Ray (jokes jokes 😉)

I was told it was a film theme, so I had to pay respect to the master. Couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate the day. Heart is full from the surprise from my lovely go-to's (some are missing 🥲)

Thank you all for the lovely, lovely day. This would definitely be one for the books. Ya'll made Episode 30 a whole lot special. Cheers to bigger blessings, more hangouts and big wins for my real Gs 🤍

2023, you were lovely 🤍

So glad to have made this special film, with an amazing crew for a support system. Had special people to lean on - without them, the year would have been so bland. Great to see the gang growing up, hoping to see them fly higher. Found myself a new home, with a team of wholesome peeps. Got to be part of a Writer's Room for a big upcoming series, 30 days of crack energy. A lot more core memories, but this post isn't enough to cover them all. Would love to tag more, but insta isn't allowing 🥲

2022 was a tough, tough year. I struggled financially and had to face things that drained me emotionally and mentally. It's wild that I fought through, cos it seemed so bleak midway and I was ready to call it quits. But now, as I reflect on it, I can't help but to feel grateful for the little silver linings that helped me through.

I'm very grateful for Kiri, Divaa, Raahini and Yogha for being there to lend a shoulder, when things were all too overwhelming. Gems, truly.

I'm very grateful for Anas, Wan Anas and Adam for insisting me to hop on and make films, when I didn't really have the motivation to pick myself up. I hope to do more soon.

I'm very grateful for having made "We Are Just Ghosts", a small film with alot of heart put to it and working with the amazing talents and creatives. I'm very grateful for the wave of beautiful messages, reviews and love we've received for the film, which I didn't at all foresee coming. You truly have no idea how it inspired me, esp during the lows.

I'm very grateful for picking up the pen and practicing my sketches/novels. Looking at the progress, it really does put a smile to my face.

And finally, I'm grateful for the amazing cinema experiences I've had throughout the year. Beginning with the Batman film that I've always wished for (and yes watching it 7 times), and ending the year by reliving the world of Pandora. Truly the best escapes.

Now with 2023 just a few steps away, I stand by the door, looking ahead into the unknown just like my characters, in hope for a better year. Blessed year ahead guys, love y'all and thank you for your love 🤍
