My heart is so full and bursting at the seams with pride. Naarm was just taken over for the most iconic Block Party to date. Thank you Fed Square and Rising for carving out a space not only for the iconic Pasifika legends that took your stage but for making this event accessible and free for our entire community in all its intersections.

So proud of my house for working tirelessly across the past few months to deliver absolute fire on this stage! This will go down in the history books and I’m so honoured to have held the torch as host and MC to guide everyone through our legendary display of music, dance and overall Radical joy. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you to everyone that came out and contributed energy to our space, the entire square was LIT TF UPPPP!!! ‼️

A spiritual awakening wrapped in the arms of Yuki Kihara’s Exhibition: “High Tides”. The Ballroom scene wakes for a night at the gallery. An Immersive exchange of energy and finger taps throughout ballroom categories that help up-skill our community while centring joy, liberation, and community at its core.

Last Saturday, the State Library of Victoria was transformed into a stage for POC and queer excellence for @kikihousefuria's ‘Fantasy Ball’, presented by @midsummafestival. Harry Reid (@notjustcavalli) attended the event as a double agent, walking the ball as ‘Cavalli IMAN’ and getting the Fashion Journal scoop on the floor. ⁠

“While everyone was there to compete against one another, there was still a strong sense of community in the air, with houses getting ready next to each other, cheering one another on (sometimes), and coming together for a shared love of the art form," Harry writes. Don't use my image without my permission.

You shouldn't use anyone's image without their permission, sorry when I've done it in the past.

I have had so much of my say in life taken away, and mostly not due to my disabilities, so when someone uses my image without my permission, it feels painful.

It may be in the most friendly way, but it still hurts.

And I know that my image holds power for others as I am a person with visible disabilities, So I can't help but feel disgusted about it.

Someone actually once said “I look better with you”.

Like I'm being used and I have been used so much in my life.

And how dare people get to use my image when so many of my needs aren't being met.

I don't mind if I'm at a public event,

especially at protests.
But anything else ask for my permission.

Last year I was trying to have time with a squirrel, 3 times I had tried to get close and I finally got lucky.

But there were people all around me and at least two of them had cameras pointed at me. I was desperately trying to ignore them as this was my last chance to see a squirrel, probably ever.

They didn't know the pain and fear I had to go through to get me to that place.

I was expecting them to come up to me afterwards and ask if they could keep the photos.

But they just walked away.
