there is truly no place like hoby🫧🩷

this year at @hobyilcs, i had the pleasure of serving as the director of junior staff with a last minute addition of being the senior facilitator for group 8. in all honesty, i had a lot of anxiety about being able to do both jobs well. i had so much imposter syndrome about my first year on senior staff, my first year as a senior facilitator, and my first year as a director. i am so proud of myself, but i couldn’t have done it without some amazing people. 🩷

to the planning team, i can’t thank you enough for your support. from @pharlow09 trusting me with this role, to @kassmaierhoferdavis talking me off a ledge and making me well, i couldn’t have done this without the planning team. @avarykampwerth was the absolute best partner in crime i could’ve asked for and @pickle_penny was the absolute best shoulder to lean on all year. i am so thankful for everything this planning team gave me, and i love each and every one of you so much🤍

to my junior facilitators, i am SO proud of each and every one of you. you met and exceeded every expectation i had of you, and i couldn’t be more blessed to have led you all this year. you are all so kind, so outstanding, and such beautiful leaders. you all truly cared so much about your groups and it was so clear that you were here for the ambassadors. i am so lucky to have had the absolute best team i could’ve asked for. a special shout out to my amazing jfac, @s0phkelly, i am so proud of you and so grateful for your hard work.💚

to group 8, i couldn’t have asked for a better group. i was very nervous about being a senior facilitator, especially since i found out about my filling in so late. i wanted to do the best job i could for you guys, and i wanted to make sure you all loved hoby as much as i do. you guys made my job SO easy. from making friends through trevor breaking the ice to throat singing lessons from micah, i couldn’t have had a better time working with you all. you are the sweetest, most outstanding leaders, and i cannot wait to see what you all do. i am so blessed to have been your senior facilitator, and i am so blessed to have had sophia to lead alongside me. lion love🦁

@hobyilcs continues to change me for good 🩷🫧💚

to say i’m grateful to return here is an understatement. i am so lucky to reunite with my bestest of friends and continue to change the lives of ambassadors like mine was changed years ago. these 5 days are the best days of my life. it’s an honor to watch the hoby spark come into the eyes of future leaders. group 9, i’ll always be your biggest cheerleader, never stop being you 🙈🙆🏻‍♀️

I have so much love for each and every person at HOBY. They have all shown me the best friendship and the most love. Each year HOBY gets better and better, but this year was truly amazing. They have changed me for good and I am forever grateful 🩷💚

✨HOBY 2026✨ • I’ve said many times this weekend that you can only understand the impact of HOBY if you experience it for yourself, so it’s hard to put into words how much these past four days meant to me. • This year’s staff and ambassadors were beyond OUTSTANDING, and I can’t believe I was able to love HOBY more than I already did. Thank you to all of my newfound friends for sharing your light with me. If this weekend taught me anything, it’s that even with just one interaction with someone, you have the opportunity to make that person’s day. Keep being the outstanding leaders you all are! Until next time HOBY fam❤️

HOBY 2026💙💛
Every year HOBY becomes more and more special to me. When I went to HOBY ILCS 4 years ago little did I know it would change my life. This place has helped me grow so much a person and given me the best friends I could ask for. These people have supported me through everything and make me so happy. I am so lucky I get to spend 4 days a year with them. I love my HOBY family so much words can’t describe it. I have enjoyed dancing though life with you guys these past few days and you all truly have changed me for good🫶🩷💚
