🚨Throwback Thursday 🚨

Shout out to my Spring League bros! Around this time last year in the midst of the pandemic, we were either starting or continuing our professional football careers in San Antonio, Texas. We were the free agent crew waiting for that call. Showing up to every practice, every game and networking with every coach until we were notified that a team wanted us. It was a blessing that we all were signed to either an active roster or practice squad roster of a team! I apologize for the ones who I didn't get a chance to add in the video. The love is still there though✊🏾 #TSL2020

Before I say anything, I want to start off by saying I WANT TO GIVE THANKS TO MY LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! IN HIM I DO ALL THINGS WHO STRENGTHENS ME! At the age of 27, I OFFICIALLY BECAME A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER!!!!! I was invited to participate in The Spring League (A Professional Football D-League) in San Antonio Texas. They have 6 pro teams competing in a 6 week football tournament. It wasn't guaranteed that I would make a team but with faith, prayer, hard work and God's favor I was promoted to the practice squad roster on the Spring League Alphas! Even though I had to cut my professional debut short, the conversations I had and the knowledge I gained from the players and coaches is something that I will take with me for the rest of my life! I want to thank my wife Clarice Richardson, friends and family who were praying for me and who supported me! Special shout-out to Coach Vic, CEO of the @thedblab , for your tips/advice and to my personal trainer @trackdad50, Owner of the Training Zone fitness center in Columbus MS for helping me get in shape! God is Good! *Side note* To the young guys who complain that they play football for a junior college instead of a Division 1 college, listen to me. Even though I have 2 college degrees, I didn't have the opportunity to play ANY college football. However, God still made a way for me to make it to the pros. It doesn't matter what college you play for because the Bible says "A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men." Proverbs 18:16 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 #TSL2020 #Alphadogs #GangGreen #ToGodBeTheGlory #FaithOverFear #TSLAlphas

The guys discuss the road Ernest is taking to get to the NFL as well as his story and how he has persevered through adversity to reach his success. Ernest is also a Laney Eagle Football Alum so we had to talk about “Last Chance U”.
