For our first Staff Sunday, we’re introducing the 7th Battalion Commanding Officer, Peter Roesch

Mr. Roesch is from Denver, Colorado and his home outfit is Company K-2. He is an Industrial Distribution major and is involved with NROTC and the Corps Marksmanship Team. Following graduation, he plans to commission into the United States Navy.

His favorite Corps memory is Cadet Challenge fish year, and a fun fact about Mr. Roesch is that he climbed Mount Denali this past summer!

If you see Mr. Roesch on the Quad, be sure to whip out!

Happy Staff Sunday!!

This week, we’re introduing Kyle Eckles the first regiment training officer. Cadet Eckles is from Oak Harbor, Washington, majoring in Ecology & Conservation Biology. After college, he plans to work for the National Park Service or the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in conservation.
Cadet Eckles joined the corps for a unique college experience and in state tuition. His favorite memories has been buddy meetings as fish, midnight yell on the field, and dead week ‘23.
His advice to the fish is to “make the most of fish year, try out for different teams and clubs, and be there for each other and have fun. You’ll look back fondly on that first year once it’s over so make sure to enjoy it in the moment.”

On the fourth day of freshman orientation week, Regiment Fish conducted a mock physical fitness test that included push-ups, a plank, and a 1 mile run. The fish demonstrated resilience and strength. Later in the day, they were taken on a campus and classroom tour by their cadre. They had the opportunity to see where their classes would be held in the upcoming fall semester.

On day two of freshman orientation week, the regiment cadre led the class of '30s first physical training session, introduced them to the basics of drill, and taught them more about cadet life and what it takes to be a fish in the Corps of Cadets.
