🏀 COACH SPOTLIGHT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COACH SHAUN! 🎉
Help us wish Jr. Bison Assistant Coach Shaun Blagdon a very happy birthday! 🥳
Coach Shaun has been coaching youth—boys and girls—for an incredible 28 years, coaching hockey, volleyball, basketball, and, most recently, four years of tackle and flag football.
His dedication to youth sport and the athletes he coaches speaks for itself. During the 2024–2025 season, Coach Shaun was nominated as Head Coach for the 2010 Jr. Bisons program, nominated for 2013 Assistant Coach of the Year, and ultimately named Assistant Coach of the Year for the entire Jr. Bison Boys program! 🏆
We’re incredibly lucky to have his experience, energy and commitment helping develop our 2013 boys. 💪
🎂 NOW IT’S YOUR TURN!
Drop a 🎉, 🏀 or “Happy Birthday, Coach Shaun!” in the comments and help us show him just how much the Jr. Bison family appreciates everything he does for our athletes!
Happy Birthday, Coach Shaun! 🥳🧡
28 years of coaching. Countless athletes impacted. One incredible coach! 👏

Big news! I'm incredibly proud to share that I've joined the @wpgbluebomberscfl Winnipeg Blue Bombers as an inaugural Cultural Ambassador 💙💛 the first of its kind in North American pro sports! The @wpgbluebomberscfl
Want to celebrate our game with more of a focus on our beautiful cultural uniquenesses!

As a coach with the @fglionsfootball club I know how amazing it is to experience a game live with my team!
It is an amazing bonding experience that both athletes and parents remember forever!

This amazing initiative connects passionate community leaders with the Bombers to help grow the fan base, celebrate the rich diversity in our city, and introduce more youth to the game we love—especially Indigenous youth and communities.

Football is more than just a sport—it’s a way to bring people together, build pride, and create opportunity. I’m honoured to be part of something that not only uplifts the game, but also uplifts the voices and cultures that make our community strong. 🏈🔥

Let’s grow the game, celebrate who we are, and inspire the next generation. #ForTheW #BlueBombers #CulturalAmbassador #IndigenousExcellence #FootballForAll #GrowTheGame #DiversityInSport

Let me know if I can provide you with any help in organizing a group team building event or even acquiring tickets for you or your group. I can also provide you with a once in a lifetime experience during the pregame celebration and have your group down on the field during the national anthems holding the flag ceremonies!
There is no minimum for this promotion! The tickets can be a single ticket or group tickets there is no minimum or maximum amount!

Reach out to me before any home game and I can give you a special code that will give you 30% off all tickets in any section in any amount also with no Ticketmaster fees! It's a great opportunity to experience the thrill of watching the bombers live! Such a great celebration of this great game and this great community!

On Father’s Day, Coach @s_blagdon gave a couple of his Lions an opportunity to play with the @jrbisons basketball team.
What an outstanding Coach, Father, and man! I have the pleasure of sharing the @fglionsfootball sidelines on the football field with Shaun. When I first approached him to see if he’d like to help coach he didn’t hesitate and has been there everyday for these kids when they need him.
What an experience! Great basketball with good competition. Beau loved the opportunity, thank you!
