📖This week I’m rereading the book that inspired my artist name: Conversations with Igor Stravinsky by Igor Stravinsky and Robert Craft.

Rereading the source that inspired it, I noticed a reference I had overlooked all these years: a painting by Hieronymus Bosch. And once again I got goosebumps, remembering how it felt to read it for the first time 🌬️

This week we were able to come all of us together again! We played the music from our album Scenes of a Folk Life in the settings we pictured from the beginning: from duo to octet 🎻

And what a joy it is to share also beautiful time all together offstage. This is 100% what Scenes of a Folk Life means for us: sharing and caring ❤️🌻🎻

Had an absolute blast travelling around Europe the past 2 weeks. Got to do 6 shows in 6 different countries with 3 different bands. A crazy schedule that fitted perfectly :)

@sowulo.music - Solskin Festival (UK), Kave Fest (FR)
@fauna_gbg - Fusion Festival (DE), Roskilde (DK), Festival de la Cité Lausanne (CH)
@byishamusic - Istanbul Jazz Festival (TR)

Had some time off in between the shows to explore the cities we were staying in, swim in the lake with a mountain view and learning some Swedish along the way. (Or mostly the words that are similar in Dutch haha)
Loved being on the road with these amazing people ❤️

✨ Solitary Star (Elevated version) — out 23 January ✨

It’s the first Cosmic Bride song I ever wrote. I premiered an early version of Solitary Star at a song contest in January 2021. This was the beginning of Cosmic Bride — and with this release, I want to celebrate 5 years of this journey 💫

This Elevated version is the one that ended up on the album and the vinyl. Even if you’ve heard other versions before, this one is how I want you to experience my music 🤍

For now enjoy this snippet from a live performance of Solitary Star at @dethomas020 Amsterdam, in November 2024. Performing it with live strings and inviting the audience to move through the space was a very special experience.

Shout out to the crew ✨
