There’s a reason people have spent generations sitting in dark rooms, staring at flickering images. Because movies mean something. They are more than entertainment; they are time capsules little pieces of humanity preserved in light and sound. Every frame carries the dreams, fears, failures, joys and sacrifices of the people who made it. Long after the cameras stop rolling and the applause dies down, the stories remain. Maybe that’s why our parents filled theatres and vaudeville houses, and why we still gather around screens today: to see ourselves reflected in someone else’s story, to laugh with strangers, to grieve with people we have never met, and, for a fleeting moment, to feel a little less alone. This scene from Babylon has always felt like more than a rant to me. Brad Pitt's monologue in this scene feels like a love letter to cinema, to storytelling, and to every artist stubborn enough to believe that what they create can outlive them. That's why FILM and the ARTS mean so much to me! Because years from now, someone I'll never meet may sit in the dark, press play, and find a piece of themselves in something I made. They say it takes a village to build a career. In 2025, I worked with the best village. 🧩✨ Balancing 5th-Year Medical School with a demanding modeling schedule is chaotic, to say the least. But the late nights and tight turnarounds are always worth it when I get to collaborate with creatives who pour their souls into their work. I'd like to think of this as not just a portfolio dump, but more like a gratitude post.
