VITAMIN SEA AT SAADIYAT 🌊

Some places you visit. Others you simply exhale into. Kai Beach on Saadiyat Island is firmly the latter.

Powder soft white sand melts into the clear turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf, where bottlenose dolphins and sea turtles glide just beyond the shoreline. A 500 metre stretch of pure boho luxury: macrame umbrellas, muslin tents, palm fronds and sun bleached wooden walkways guiding you barefoot toward the sea.

Open from sunrise to sunset, this is where an Abu Dhabi summer truly hits different. Sink into a lounger, retreat to a private cabana, and let the day drift from a long lazy lunch into one of the most spectacular sunsets in the capital.

Effortless. Serene. Quietly world class. This is Saadiyat at its finest 🏖️☀️🐚🦞🍉

A FALCON RISES OVER SAADIYAT

Five steel wings command the Abu Dhabi skyline, and beneath them the United Arab Emirates has given itself a national story told in stone and light.

Zayed National Museum opened on Saadiyat Island on 3 December 2025, the long awaited centrepiece of the Saadiyat Cultural District and a tribute to the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Designed by Pritzker Prize winning Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and awarded through a 2007 competition, the building spans 88,870 square metres. Its five arching towers echo the wing of a falcon, the national bird, rising to 123 metres at their tallest, making the museum the loftiest landmark in the district. Far more than sculpture, each tower works as a thermal chimney, drawing cool air through the galleries in a modern reimagining of the traditional barjeel wind tower.

Inside, six permanent galleries trace 300,000 years of human history, from a Palaeolithic stone tool to the birth of the modern nation. More than 1,500 objects are drawn from a collection exceeding 3,000. The journey begins in Al Masar Garden, a 600 metre landscaped path linking the museum to the Saadiyat coast.

It joins a constellation of icons. Louvre Abu Dhabi by Jean Nouvel, teamLab Phenomena, the Natural History Museum and the forthcoming Guggenheim by Frank Gehry gather within a pedestrian quarter of cool shaded paths, unmatched anywhere on earth.

This is culture as nation building. This is Abu Dhabi. @znmuae @louvreabudhabi @teamlab_phenomena @saadiyatisland

SADIYAAT ISLAND WHERE DOLPHINS PLAY AND THE SEA TURNS TURQUOISE 🐬🌊🏝️

There are places that feel designed. And then there are places that feel destined.

Saadiyat Island is where the Arabian Gulf softens into shades of turquoise and crystal blue, where protected dunes meet natural white sand, and where dolphins are often seen dancing just beyond the shoreline at sunrise. This is not just a beach. It is a sanctuary.

The waters here are remarkably clear, gently curving along nine kilometres of pristine coastline. Hawksbill turtles nest in the dunes. The breeze carries silence rather than noise. Time moves differently.

Along this untouched stretch rise some of the capital’s most refined beachfront addresses. Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island brings Ottoman grandeur to the shore. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort frames the sea with Mediterranean elegance and championship golf greens. Jumeirah Saadiyat Island blends modern design with conscious luxury, embracing sustainability and barefoot sophistication.

Yet even with world class hospitality, Saadiyat never feels overbuilt. The horizon remains wide. The sand remains natural. The sea remains alive.

At dusk, the light turns gold and the water mirrors the sky. You understand why dolphins choose this place. You understand why travellers return.

Saadiyat Island is not loud luxury. It is calming luxury. It is the art of stillness.

Abu Dhabi at its most serene.
