SIFARISH: More Than Just a Band, It’s a Statement

It all started when four of us randomly met and decided to jam one night. By the next day, we were calling ourselves Lighthouse the Band. But soon after, we found our permanent identity: SIFARISH, a name that truly resonated with our journey and vision.

Our debut EP, MANZILEIN, marked our beginning, and within six months of forming, we had released three original songs. But success isn’t always met with applause. Along the way, we faced our share of criticism, jealousy, and even ego-driven comments. Some couldn’t believe a new band could achieve so much so quickly especially when others had been around for years without producing music.
Our first ticketed show was more than just a performance it was a statement. It showed that Sifarish is not just a band; it’s an inspiration for everyone who’s been doubted or put down.
But every journey has its struggles. Disagreements and miscommunication led to moments of instability within the band. Yet, it’s these very challenges that brought us closer, making us more understanding and accepting of each other.

Distance tested our bond, too. Our lead guitarist, Anush, left for Berklee School of Music. Dhaivat, our singer and rhythm guitarist, moved to Mumbai to study music. Sagar, our bassist, pursued higher studies elsewhere. This left us inactive for nearly 10-11 months.
And yet, here we are—back and stronger than ever, with lessons learned from our experiences and faults.
Today, as we took the stage at Indie Surat ‘24, we made yet another statement: creativity, talent, hard work, and determination will always rise above the noise.

We are Sifarish. Four individuals brought together by fate, united by music, and driven by the belief that dreams can and will become reality.
To everyone who has supported us and believed in us: thank you. This is only the beginning. 🌟
