Norther, welcome to Backbone Management!

After more than 15 years away from the spotlight, Finnish melodic death metal pioneers Norther have officially announced their return.

Originally formed in 1996 under the name Requiem before adopting the name Norther in 1999, the band became one of Finland’s most influential melodic death metal acts during the early 2000s. Combining aggressive riffing, memorable melodies, and high-energy live performances, Norther built a devoted global following and helped shape the modern Finnish metal sound.

Stoked! Let’s go!!

15 years of rest on ice did us good, and now it’s time to return to the stages. There were many places we didn’t get to play back then, and now is their time. We’re really excited to see where this road takes us.

We’re back. In 2027, we bring you our classic lineup, new music, and a return to the stage; starting with Wacken Open Air and Brutal Assault.

Stay tuned for more.

Man, even the pizza is way better in Sweden! My only complaint is that it wasn’t here in 30 minutes or less! 😜🤣

Terrible jokes aside, amazing new album from my friends @ciphersystemofficial. If you haven’t checked this out yet, go do so right now! 🇸🇪🤘

And thanks to @johaneskilson and @h.liljesand for the awesome merch! 💪😎

I didn’t come this far
Just to see everything is gone
I’m far beyond to waste it all
Overthrown…where do I go?
