I’ve spent the last 4 months of my life working toward this past weekend, so I’m gonna brag about it just a TINY bit:
1️⃣ Creating the fist-ever L.A. Times Games booth for @latimesfob is one for the career highlight reel. If there are two things I love, it’s word games and yapping to people about word games (did you know all of our games are free? 👀)
2️⃣ Singing with my @topshelfvocal friends for @dgcomedy’s birthday in the Hollywood Hills was the biggest gig I’ve planned as Top Shelf’s Business Manager, and one of the coolest in my 11 years as a member. (“I stole one of those pictures from Carnie Wilson’s instagram” is a sentence I never envisioned myself writing.)

Anyway, Q2 is off to a great start 🤌

We’re starting to plan Pitch & Pour events for 2026 and opening the door to new speakers.

If you’ve been sitting on an idea, a story, or a lesson you’ve learned and want to share it with a room of curious, supportive people, this might be for you. Speakers give a 5 to 10 minute flash talk and use a short slide deck to help guide their presentation.

Topics can be professional or personal. The goal is simple: share something meaningful and start a conversation.

Interested in presenting at a future event?

We’ve got a lot to be thankful for this year! Check out some of our favorite community memories, from rehearsal and beyond.💛🧡

If you want to learn more about Top Shelf and hear what we’ve been working on this fall, grab tickets to our winter concert on 12/13 in our bio! Our ticket prices increase next week, so get them while you can!

Enjoy some slides from presentations given at previous Pitch and Pour events.

These events give platforms to emerging leaders in our community to practice public speaking, and share the message they wish to share. Every pitch and pour helps to bridge community, networking, and education. They cannot happen without you! So we’re so grateful to everyone for participating. Thank you to all the speakers and guests who came out to exchange ideas and make new friends.

@Mubarkproductions believes that there’s power storytelling. When we can hone our message and tell a really great story, we can mobilize passionate people, and shine a light on issues that matter to us.

Stay tuned for more events. We’re gearing up for a fundraising campaign to fuel our projects and programming in 2026!
