🎃 OCTOBER AT THE EASTWOOD 🎃

Our Indie Spotlight is LOCKJAW, a new thriller where the worst person at the party is you, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. PLUS! Micah Delhauer’s BLOOD MAGICK screens twice this month, followed by Q&A’s.

Stephen King’s IT, starring Tim Curry, screens uncut and in its entirety, presented in two parts with an intermission.

The legendary PSYCHO is back on the big screen, presented in glorious 16mm, Hitchcock’s famously preferred format, by SeeItOn16mm!

The Year of Haneke continues with HAPPY END, Haneke’s darkly comic portrait of a wealthy family quietly coming apart, starring the hilarious Isabelle Huppert.

Matt’s Mortuary continues his TV Terrors program with a very special screening of HALLOWEENTOWN, presented in glorious standard definition!

HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER doubles with another low-budget serial killer horror film, THE PRODIGY, starring Beau Swartz & Calvin Picou.

Spend two nights with Ti West’s humble slow-burn beginnings: THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL followed by THE INNKEEPERS, starring the electrifying Sara Paxton.

The Hong Kong Cinema Club returns with MR. VAMPIRE II, Ricky Lau’s horror-comedy sequel mixing hopping vampires, family adventure & supernatural chaos.

DEMONS and DEMONS 2 bring Lamberto Bava’s gloriously excessive demonic mayhem back to the big screen for two consecutive nights.

In collaboration with Antenna Releasing, we present FRIDAY THE 69TH (@akmontilla) and DEAD MEDIA (@josephscrimshaw), showcasing new voices in horror.

Razors in the Night presents HAUNTEDWEEN, a regional horror oddity screened the way nature intended: on VHS!

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD gets a very different presentation with a live 17-piece chamber orchestra performing Kyle Simpson’s new score, conducted by Laura Giul, with Benjamin Nix.

And we close out the month with a ’90s SCOOBY-DOO double feature: WITCH’S GHOST + ZOMBIE ISLAND, screening back-to-back theatrically for the first time on October 30th and again Halloween afternoon!

Tickets for all shows are now on sale!

The Eastwood is at 1089 North Oxford Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90029.

@lockjaw_movie has been out for a couple weeks now and if you haven’t watched it, you won’t know what images here contain never-before-seen prop design, what is BTS of scenes that did or did not make it into the movie, which is a photo of our brilliant director Sabrina, and whether or not there is a cute clown dog statue visible in any shots. Guess you’ll have to rent or buy it VOD to find out! Xoxo🤐🫶🏼

A week ago today I saw a new fav film, Vintage Violence by @madabouteug, at @mmadnesstiff (forever my fav #TIFF programming, @peterkapow is truly the best). Can’t wait to rewatch this dope fun movie. Thankful I got to catch the midnight screening & document the special evening with this cool cast and crew via my beloved @polaroid camera. Good jeans all around. 👖📸🎥

Thank you @cinemafemme_community @ebbcinemaflow and @magentaedgefilms for screening “Don’t Come Home Before Midnight” before Lockjaw @lockjaw_movie by @sabgrex . This was a very special experience for me. It was so cool to see the short “set the tone” for this incredible feature that is now one of my favorite indie films, but also I got to connect with @sabgrex , who is so weird and so funny and so kind and so down to earth. Sharing a stage with her did something for me as a “female filmmaker” that I will be chewing on for a long time. I want more of this feeling! More connection with other “women” in film making things as weird as they are, things that can be and should be and must be jarring and subtle in the same frame!

Thank you @mattfagerholm for the photos!
