Reflecting on this table leg design. It’s a form that I have been working with since 2022 and continues to lend itself to new iterations. It’s profile was originally driven by functional forces, wanting it to have a strong wide base to meet the ground and a gentle tapering out of the mass through the middle to reduce weight where possible. It’s a profile that I love to return to, I think because visually it says what it does, and personally I like that frankness.

Loved not only seeing these works framed to perfection but also hanging them around our house. A little different from bending over the artwork that was covered in pencils for a month or so. Made To Order will be taken offline tomorrow, I wrote a whole essay about it over email. We thought it was the answer to a couple of problems, one being high demand for sold out works, one for wanting to offer framing to house the prints in the finest on the block. Always experimenting, always iterating. I’ve decided old works will have to remain that, sold out. And that just means I have to create new works that are better. Always the goal, let’s keep moving. As my regrettably-comic-sans-looking-font tattoo says “let’s go”. And as poorly captioned posts say “we will always have the memories”. If you want one of these 10 framed prints, you have 24hrs. If you want the full story, give me your email💋

Two suspension points. One continuous timber form draped between them, drawing a line through the interior like a ribbon caught mid-float. The Onu Duo Pendant by @sabu.studio uses the geometry of suspension itself as the design, the flex cable and the draping timber form working together to produce something that reads as light and momentary despite being fixed in place. A pendant that suggests movement without making any. #lightingdesign #pendantlamp #wooddesign #objectdesign #australiandesign

Spoilt for choice. One of my favourite moments in a project- lighting. Each fitting is considered like a work of art; the way it sits in a space, the shadows it casts, the warmth it holds. Selections confirmed for this project, but all of these, considered . 🖤
