Footwork Friday | Great drill for LB’s and DB’s
This drill work on being able to have good body control while getting across the hex quickly into a backpedal. Your backpedal should be smooth and on your break we are either foot firing or T stepping which ever one your are most comfortable with. Make sure we are diving out of our break getting across the hex and opening into a man turn. From their we need to make sure we define the receivers route pin him and once our eternal clock hits 2-3 sec we need to be able to turn our head locate the ball and go and get it .

-INCORRECT-
• Head is straight up and eyes are straight ahead
• no bend in right arm and left arm is crossing the midline of the body
•more knee drive
•front foot is pointed down to the ground so instead of striking with the balls of your feet you’ll strike with your toes which won’t create good force .
.
-CORRECT-
•Head down chin tucked •Good body lean
•90 degree bend in arm working cheek to cheek
• good knee drive past waist
•good dorsiflexion in front foot (toe pointed straight ahead)that way we can strike the ground w/balls of your feet
•full extension of back leg
