Sadie’s move-in at college happened today. We’re so proud of her, but it was a roller coaster of emotion for me. She’s my oldest kid, the smartest one in the family. And she was a little girl about ten minutes ago. Love you, Say Say.

Our sixteen year old dog died this morning. Her name was Delancey. My kids can’t remember a time before she was in their lives. We were lucky to all be together with her to the end. She’s the first pet I felt truly responsible for. She loved all humans, and wanted to dominate everything else in the animal kingdom. And she always seemed to reflect our collective emotional state back at us in her expressions her posture her disposition, something I’ll miss deeply. Best dog ever.

10 years ago today our book came out! “Wary Meyers’ Tossed & Found” was all about repurposing discarded stuff, based on a column we wrote for Time Out New York magazine. There were 45 projects each with how-to instructional drawings and esoteric design-nerd references. Scroll through for some of our favorites, and,
