Summer 2026 was an eventful few months for me! Though some parts felt longer than others, like being on duty as a summer RA, there were plenty of highlights.

Starting in May, I went to my first Commercial Shoot with Take One Productions for Pocono Television Network. I also got to reconnect with my friends at home, including a study date with my childhood best friend, Isaac.

June was busy, to say the least. Right at the beginning I went to the Weatherly Hill Climb event where I helped with live coverage as a Production Assistant for PTN in collaboration with WFMZ. I attended and presented at the EPIC Summer 2026 convening for the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. This was an amazing opportunity that, I’m not only grateful to the College of Business and Management at ESU for, but also to my team of other students. Without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. I got more serious with my health journey putting more focus and attention into it. Lastly, I went to New York City Pride for the first time.

July was definitely the most fun month. I got to go to two different concerts. Alex Warren in Philadelphia, and Melanie Martinez in Brooklyn, NYC. Both were amazing shows. I got to spend a lot more time at home and with more friends. For PTN, I went on two Eric Mintel investigations and visited the WBRE/WYOU studio in Wilkes-Barre for the first time.

In August everything started winding down before the beginning of RA training. I moved back to Hawthorn and then packed up my entire room at home in preparation for moving back to my house as it is almost done being rebuilt. RA training was incredibly busy but extremely rewarding at the end. I got to meet the new staff on my team who may be the funniest people I know. I got to be the first ESU student to try the new Chick-fil-A at the new University Center. Now we are on to move-in week and that means summer is over.

Overall, my summer was very busy but not in a bad way. I got to meet incredible people, explore amazing opportunities, and reconnect with those who matter most. I’m excited for this semester to begin and what other unique adventures come up.

I’m happy to share that I have completed my Spring 2026 semester on the Dean’s List at East Stroudsburg University, marking the end of my first year at ESU. To say I had a successful year is an understatement. Beyond the success, I also met a ton of new people and made tons of new memories (memories that have now taken over my camera roll.) One thing about me is that I love to document my life through photos, especially polaroids. Because of this, I thought what better way to showcase my year than through a scrapbook. So I made a visual representation of my year, going month by month with some of my favorite memories and proudest achievements.

Right at the beginning of my time at ESU, I hit the ground running. Within my first semester, I.....

🏢Job shadowed with Pocono Television Network, which resulted in me getting an internship.
💼Got hired as an Office Assistant within Residence Life and Housing.
🤝Networked with multiple Poconos business professionals through the Crayola Executive Lecture Series.
💯Finished the semester with a 4.0 GPA and on the Dean’s List.
⬆️Got promoted to a Resident Advisor within Residence Life and Housing.

I didn’t slow down going into the second semester either. Within my second semester, I......

📚Went through training and began my probationary period as a Resident Advisor.
🏢Began my internship with Pocono Television Network, which was later extended through the summer.
🏆Was selected to and participated in the Spring 2026 EPIC Challenge, where my team was selected to present for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.
🎙️Recorded a radio ad to promote a local event.
📹Got interviewed by Channel 69 WFMZ for Pick up the Poconos.
⬆️Selected to stay on campus over the summer as a Summer RA.
💯Once again, completed the spring semester on the Dean’s List.

Overall, I am very pleased with the outcome of my first year at ESU and can’t wait to do more in the fall. Thank you sincerely to everyone who was a part of or encouraged any of these milestones. I am so honored to have such strong support by my side at all times.
