The allegations from Marseille are chilling: Jewish-owned shops deliberately attacked while neighbouring Muslim-owned businesses were left untouched.

If confirmed, that would be a clear pattern of antisemitic targeting. Choosing which shop to destroy by the religion of its owner is persecution, and those responsible must face the full force of the law.

French authorities must urgently establish what happened, investigate the alleged selection of Jewish businesses and protect those at risk.

No grievance excuses targeting Jews. No flag justifies it. No slogan about “justice” makes it anything less abhorrent.

Europe has seen this scapegoating before: a crisis erupts, anger grows, and someone points at the Jews.

War. Poverty. Disease. Economic collapse. Different centuries, the same poisonous accusation.

Supporting Palestinian rights is not inherently antisemitic. But when anger about schools, wages or government failures becomes hostility towards Jews—or Jewish people are held responsible for Israel’s actions—an ancient prejudice is being repackaged as “resistance”.

A Palestinian flag does not make antisemitism progressive. A chant about justice does not excuse collective blame. And calling yourself an activist does not put your hatred beyond scrutiny.

Demand dignity for Palestinians. Demand accountability from governments. But refuse the oldest lie in Europe: that whatever goes wrong, the Jews must be to blame.

October 18, 2026: Harley’s Gotcha Day and 2nd Birthday!
This year has taught us love in so many ways we hadn’t imagined. We rescued Harley from quite a difficult first year no precious being should ever have endured. She had none of the first year puppy learning of life experiences, so it’s been up to us to give her these, including the simplest things like play! No question we have had some hard times proving to her our love, and that we are in this life with her for the long run. And we also hold such gratitude to our family and friends that have cared for her and taught her in the special ways she needs.
Last night she showed us she is now truly a protective family Hero: the front door, sometimes a revolving door of beloved visitors, and more, was ajar, unbeknownst to us. As happens on Rocky Pond…Harley kept jumping down from the sofa, and running to the door. When we looked, sure enough Buddy and Luna had decided to take an evening stroll outside: Buddy in the grass, and Luna parked underneath the bird feeders…In the end, we rounded them up with treats…We then realized it’s not just us being here for her, but unasked, she stepped up for us all! The scenes coming out of France are abhorrent. Burning buildings, looting businesses and attacking police achieve absolutely nothing for families struggling with living costs or students demanding better schools. Ordinary people are left paying for the destruction.

And if activists are using these protests to make everything about Gaza once again, they deserve to be challenged. French people’s grievances deserve to be heard on their own terms, without being hijacked for someone else’s political agenda.

The cult-like insistence that every issue must revolve around “Free Palestine” helps nobody. Waving a Palestinian flag does not excuse violence, make vandalism righteous or rebuild a single ruined business.

Peaceful protest is a right. Destroying communities is a crime. Whatever slogan you shout.

The comments on previous posts are already evident. Many people are blaming Jews and Israel for the riots, the violence that’s happening in France in Paris in particular. So many blame the Jews for all the end of the world. Yet, there are many people just like me that are Jewish that love Paris, that loves the nation of France, their culture, their cuisine, music, and art. I have loved France since I was nine years old and even had a subscription to a French newspaper that I used to read regularly as a child.
