And that’s a wrap! ✨

Project SafeWeb officially launched in August through @shift.sc Cyber Privacy Initiative, and the past few months have been nothing short of incredible.

We were invited by @sageusc to speak on a Digital Safety & Consent Panel, tabled at USC’s Tech4Good Conference, and began hosting campus presentations and digital safety workshops at USC and East LA College. Through these events, we reached over 80 students, covering topics like cyber-enabled trafficking, gaps in digital safety law, online scam detection, account security, and how to navigate difficult situations online.

This semester also marked major growth. We expanded our executive team to eight amazing people: Naya, Brooke, Karen, Olivia, Linh, Mariana, Asha, and Cassie. We also solidified 5 organizational partnerships (@shift.sc, @traverse.project, @straussfoundation, @fadeintohueofficial, @cah_science) and 10 university partners.

Finally, we launched our weekly #SafetySunday series to share practical digital safety and cybersecurity tips.

We’re so grateful for this community (119 and growing) and for everyone who supported, attended, collaborated, and believed in this work.

This is only the beginning. We’ll be back in the spring with more events, more education, and more impact.

Thank you for being part of Project SafeWeb. 💙💜
