Every car owner gets here eventually. Keep fixing it, or let it go?

A viewer on Buyer's Guide asked about his Mercedes C200. Sagie's view: once you've driven a Merc, nothing else feels the same, so keep it.

Another viewer's Jaguar came with a huge repair bill. Sagie's verdict: "This car should have been sold.

You might know the voice. Sagie answered Joburg's car questions on Radio 702 for nine years, then on Kaya FM.

These days you'll find him on Buyer's Guide on Ignition or at his workshop in Midrand.

Got a question about your car? Ask him.

Good aftermarket parts we've fitted before and trust, or OEM if you'd rather pay for OEM.

We'll explain the difference and leave the choice with you.

Where we supply and fit the parts, the repair carries 12 months or 10,000km.

It's rainy season now.. You better check your wiper blades.

They've been chilling on your windscreen since about April, doing nothing, cooking in the sun.

Here's how you check:
Lift the blade and run a finger along the rubber. Cracked, hard, split or leaving streaks means they've retired without telling you. If it judders across the glass, it's on its way out too.

Not sure about yours? Send Sagie a message.

Two quick checks Sagie wishes everyone did.
Tyre pressure, because soft tyres burn more fuel.
Oil level, because it takes two minutes and your engine will thank you.

Not sure what you're looking at? Just ask.

It's Sagie's birthday today.

The oldest car he's ever worked on? A Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow.

Over thirty years under the bonnet, and he still gets excited about a Porsche.

Happy birthday, Sagie.

If he's fixed your car over the years, drop him a birthday wish.
