“everything ending!” is a self-titled concept album written, composed, and recorded by me over the course of about a month (from feb 2nd to march 6th).

it’s not a concept album in the traditional sense of a grand overarching theme or metaphor like pink floyd’s “the wall” or flying lotus’s “you’re dead!” but rather in the same way you would consider mitski’s “bury me at makeout creek” a concept album: through the unification of the individual pieces you tell a whole story, rather than telling the story itself transparently.

this album is an intense and operatic recital of my teenage years, of my struggles with addiction, of self-loathing and everything in between. but more importantly, it is about everything ending, and what that really means.

for me, any change or transition, no matter how big or small, makes me feel as though everything is ending. i always feel at the end of my leash, like i’m running out of time.

but everything ending doesn’t have to be the end of everything.

as i sat for months, plagued by undiagnosed pain, i thought everything was ending. and some things were, but others were just beginning. i started a band with my friends, i began writing poetry again, and more importantly i remembered who i am and who i could be.

i also wanted to take a brief aside to thank adam (@adam_moscato) and nat (@nate_martinezz), my good friends and bandmates who contributed their instrumental prowess to the project, as well saige (@saigezee), duncan (@ddunccan_), poly (@hatepoly) for lending me their beautiful vocal chords, and of course justin (@justinaaresta) and my girlfriend liv (@wuvhart) for pushing me to start the project.

so to wrap this up, this self-titled album and everything ending! as a whole are the culmination of many years of experience, garnered knowledge, and growth as a writer, singer, composer, and most importantly, as a person.

so, please, enjoy.
