Some moments from the last few weeks in Kingston!

Ever wondered who’s behind the soaring foiling fleet at WVYC? Meet our coach, Jonathan de Vries!
As one of Sail Canada’s first certified Foiling and Competitive Development Coaches, Jonathan brings world-class expertise to our waters. He’s helped athletes from 80 lbs to 80+ years old master craft like the iQFOiL, Wingfoil, and WASZP, guiding sailors from their very first flight to international podiums.
His holistic, sport-science-backed approach hits the sweet spot between technical precision, physical readiness, mental focus, and pure enjoyment.
For Jonathan, coaching isn’t just a job—it’s a true calling. Nothing brings him more joy than watching athletes build confidence, unlock new speeds, and fall in love with the feeling of flying over the water.
Catch him on the dock or soaring across English Bay! 👋
Or better yet, join us for a day of foiling !
