No fancy podium. Just fish crates and frozen feet. 🇳🇴 Swim: Pain Transition: Barefoot chaos, forgot how to human Bike: Lost my shoes, kept the aero Run: Dead Result: 1st place + a trophy that smells like cod This is triathlon in Norway. No filter. Rain, wind, and a green box from PACK AND SEA that says «podium». We don’t do it for glamour. We do it because we love the suffering. Would you race for a fish crate podium ? 👇 #triathlon #triathlete #trilife #triathlonlife #t100triathlon 📸 @paalreksten @frutollevik

Haugesund Triatlon sprint edition The day that my technical luck was not on my side 😆 Good swimstart in 14,5deg in the ocean, out of the water 6th wich is a good start for me as bike is my stronger side 🤟 Fast through T1 and a running hop on after mount line. Straight into a small uphill and my chain falls off on the inside of the drive and gets stuck between the frame and chainring😟 after 2 minutes of mocking about I realized that the chain was broken and the race was over… Luckily @martepeha was standing at the course spectating and said «you can borrow my bike if you want» and after 2 milliseconds my water bottle and I was underway on a new (literately) bike. Not a perfect fit but pretty close and starting to pass some of my competitors again. The cycle course is a 3 lap course and starting on the 3rd round I was starting to plan T2 and looking to get a good run, and then…. A flat on the front wheel….. Off the bike and saw the tool bag under the saddle, opened it and … empty 🤷‍♂️ It was a long walk back to T2 , a little bit of barefoot jogging took me into the zone at the same time as wifey @frutollevik and exited so I did a swift change and ran the 5k together with her 🥰 Thx for lending me your excellent bike Marthe 🤟 I hope I made up for the flat ++ 📸 @friluftsmari #notmyday #triathlon #triathletes #raceday #itaintovertillitsover

What a day!🤯 Fifth time racing this beautiful race, and now a back to back champion. As I told my supports the last steps towards the top: «this is kinda big for a simple guy from Kløfta». There’s no such thing as a perfect race, but yesterday was a perfect day. Never seen so many people cheering out on the course, and lifting me towards the mountain top. Thank you!!🙏 Norseman will always be special to me, and I love how it brings out all the emotions throughout the day. Sharing them with the best support team possible to have, just makes the day even better! 📸: @alexander.koerner / @nxtri (picture 1-2) 📸: @david.soldati (3-19)

3 ting du bør kunne om open water-svømming i triatlon 🌊🏊‍♀️ Mange trener mye i basseng, men konkurranser gjennomføres ofte i åpent vann. 💡 Bonus: Tren jevnlig i åpent vann før konkurranser.
