💛meaning behind derby name
🖤 I love Sailor Moon! I think the word goon is also fitting (haha!). 187 is code for murder and also the number of the bus line closest to my home growing up. My dad would always point out “look there goes the murder bus” (:

💛what drew you to roller derby?
🖤 I love contact sports and I love that I get to skate fast and hit my friends hard and it’s such a welcoming, inclusive sport with an amazing community.

💛 any hobbies outside of derby?
🖤 I love to go to amateur wrestling lol

🐼 ESP: Después de 7 años y casi 500 horas de servicio, 2025 fue mi último año como voluntario de el Zoológico de San Diego. ¡Aquí algunos momentos de la aventura!

1. Comenzé a los 19
2. Réplica de cráneo de león Africano. La primer estación en la que fui entrenado fue Fossil Portal, en Elephant Odyssey
3-4. Justo antes de que se fueran los pandas gigantes
5. Me tocó ser parte del equipo de enriquecimiento, creando juguetes para los gorilas. Me veía joven y lleno de vida 😅
6-8. Tuve la oportunidad de crear piezas de arte usando guajes, un experimento artístico bastante interesante
9. ¡ORNITORRÍNCO! Como voluntario pude ser de los primeros visitantes en ver los ornitorríncos Birra y Eve en el Safari Park, un día que nunca olvidaré
11. ¡Pingüinos Africanos!
12-17. Estuve en la maestría “Advanced Inquiry Program” y, aunque sólo duré 2 cuatris, hice muy buenos amigos, ¡y aprendí estadística!
18-20. Mi sueño se hizo realidad cuando me uní al proyecto de las ranas de montaña de patas amarillas; cuidé y liberé muchas ranitas, ¡espero lo logren!

🐼 ENG: After 7 years and almost 500 hours of service, 2025 marked my last year as a volunteer for the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance. Here are a few memories from the adventure!

1. I started at 19 years old
2. African lion skull replica. The first ever station I was trained on was Fossil Portal, in Elephant Odyssey
3-4. Right before the giant pandas went away
5. I was part of the enrichment team, and created toys for the gorillas. I looked so young and full of life 😅
6-8. I had the chance to create art pieces using gourds, really fun art experiments
9. PLATYPUS!!! As a volunteer I was able to be one of the first visitors to see the Platypuses Birra and Eve, at the Safari Park, a day I will never forget
11. African penguins!
12-17. I was in the “Advanced Inquiry Program” Master's, and even though I only lasted 2 quarters, I made good friends, and finally learned stats!
18-20. My dream came true when I was part of the Mountain yellow-legged frog project, I got to care for and release many frogs. I hope they make it!
