Thank you to Trevan (GraceLife) for bringing a poignant message to our @sailorsfca group this morning. He spoke about our daily motivation and drive for everything we do using Phillipians 2:3-11. Make it our aim in life to glorify God…and it starts in humility, and just as the Son of God humbled Himself to take on human flesh, we should endeavor to “take on Him” every day.

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” -Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬ ‭

God bless and be well!❤️➗✝️❓

This morning, students across the nation gathered at their school flagpoles to pray. Right here in Parrish, Bradenton, and Sarasota, over 500 students showed up to pray for their schools, their teachers, and their friends. 🙏

They stood in the places they walk through every day and asked God to move. We’re believing these prayers are just the beginning—and that more students will come to know Jesus because their classmates chose to show up and pray. ❤️

“Meet (& pray) at the Pole” today in Sarasota County and across the nation. @sailorsfca led fellow students from in and outside FCA (“unashamedly” -Romans 1:16) to profess boldly their Faith by praying for one another, their school & staff, and their community. Wonderful to witness!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”(Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬)…even if just to a flagpole!

TOMORROW MORNING—SEE YOU AT THE POLE! 🙏🏽🏫

At 7:00 AM—or 30 minutes before your school starts—students across the nation will gather around their flagpoles to pray!

Show up and stand in the gap for the students who need to know Jesus. Pray for your school. Pray for your teachers. Pray for your friends. Believe that God can bring revival to your campus—and that it can begin with you!

You don’t have to pray perfectly. You just have to show up.

Invite a friend, set your alarm, and we’ll SEE YOU AT THE POLE! 🔥

Always a great way to start a Wednesday…with @sailorsfca ! They are organized like Nehemiah and mission oriented like Paul.

Our presenter this morning beautifully weaved their theme of being/staying “Focused” (from Hebrews 12) by helping our audience understand the word “coach.”Starting in antiquity, it was something to be used to get you somewhere that you couldn’t get on your own. Fast forward to today, your earthly coach (sports or otherwise) guides you by trying to instill, among other things, DISCIPLINE: “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”-Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ …so, too, does our Heavenly Father discipline us: “It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”-Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬

Your ultimate head coach is Jesus Christ but He uses your earthly coach to help. Embrace the “hard” as our speaker mentioned and you will rejoice in the results! ❤️➗✝️❓

Congrats to @sailorsfca for a great start to the new Huddle year! This group of leaders is already living their ‘26-‘27 theme by staying “Focused” (Hebrews 12) on serving their fellow students and, most importantly, their God….and so too all the students that showed up.

A powerful testimony and message was shared by Coach Mike to kickoff the new year…Mike “focused” his life on Christ in college when his football dreams faded away…that’s when Mike found a renewed sense of purpose after a couple teammates invited him to an FCA meeting. We are all Proven in Him (John 15:8).

“…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith…” Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬

Sarasota County FCA and I are almost as excited as our campus leaders. The last prep meetings took place this week, and Huddles start next week for @newcollege.fca and @sailorsfca with @pineviewfca and SMS right behind. I’m super excited to work with these kids and young adults as they grow in their faith and live the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19)❤️➗✝️❓

The other pics and video are from a much needed end of the week, sunset ride. This video and all the pics except the last one were taken from my bike…not sure how.🤠

Busy and beautiful Saturday using God’s Word to Engage, Equip, and Empower Sarasota County’s next group of FCA campus leaders and disciples. I was blessed to be able to share a little of what God put in front of me that morning…

It was no coincidence that I woke up (on Saturday) to my prayer App with this verse in the Gospel message:

“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”-Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭3‬-‭4‬

Let humility lead us to being vulnerable, let vulnerability leads us to being open to growth and forgiveness…and ultimately to love! Praying for all students, teachers/staff, and families as we start the new year! #GodsPlan #lovegodlovepeople #FCA ❤️➗☦️❓

Discipleship in action. 🙌

This Saturday, Sarasota County FCA student leaders from across the county came together to grow deeper in their faith, strengthen their leadership, and develop practical discipleship skills to impact their campuses.

Our discipleship strategy is simple:
➡️ Engage with God’s love.
📖 Equip through the Word of God.
🔥 Empower others to make disciples.

There is nothing more encouraging than watching these young leaders step boldly into the calling God has placed on their lives. We believe God is raising up a generation that will influence their schools, teams, and communities for His glory.

A huge thank you to The Bridge Church and New Day Church for opening your doors and hosting this leadership training. We are also incredibly grateful for our FCA staff and volunteers who invested their time, encouragement, and hearts into these students.

The future is bright because Jesus is at work through the next generation.

51 middle schoolers celebrated their year with FCA today! Some I’ll see in HS in the fall and others back here next year. Regardless, it was a wonderful group that ended on a high note: two of their leaders shared their testimony, and we prayed over them for their summer and future and shared a meal together. I also read Psalm 139:1-14 over them, reminding them that God is with them EVERYDAY and EVERYWHERE…but especially focusing on v.14: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”-Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭14‬ May we all go about our days knowing that “full well!”❤️➗✝️🙏🏼 #godsplan #lovegodlovepeople #FCA

Sometimes just seeing rays of light are all you need to motivate your day…today was my last FCA high school huddle for the year and these seniors were definitely “rays of light” for their school and for God in the world. We celebrated them and prayed over their journey as they move onto their next chapter. It was an awesome first group for me to be apart of as my first huddle. They all spoke of keeping God as the center of your life and how FCA was foundational to their HS success; especially for their friend groups and growing in Christ…“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” -Proverbs 13:20 God bless them all and super excited about the new leadership team! ❤️➗✝️❓#godsplan #lovegodlovepeople #FCA

Early morning sidewalk friends are cool but enjoying an evening sunset with friends and family is even more special…I wish I could be with my mom and my three daughters this weekend but Heaven and Tennessee are not possible for me this weekend. So, I reminded my FCA middles schoolers today to thank and be thankful for mom this weekend (and every day, for that matter). And as reminder for us all, “honor thy father and thy MOTHER, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” -Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭12‬ (btw, it’s the only commandment that gives you a stated reward). And also on Mother’s Day, it is appropriate to think of and remember all the Godly women who lived or still live a life of leadership and servitude to our benefit. Their sacrifices are not forgotten…Proverbs 31 is a beautiful tribute to women and mom’s and is worth reading and sharing with someone this weekend. Happy Mother’s Day and God bless! ❤️➗✝️❓#lovegodlovepeople #FCA
