neek and I went to SF for my birthday and it was incredible. I have been so happy to be back in California and every day has felt so effortless and fun. I traveled with my bike for the first time and went on a couple bucket list rides. In what I guess is becoming a tradition for me, I set another challenge for myself in regards to conquering my fear of heights. I rode a rental bike across the Golden Gate bridge (very slowly) when I was 12 years old and I think I had my first panic attack when I got to the middle and realized I’d have to endure just as much as I already did, whether or not I turned around. The only way out was through! Ever since then it’s been a huge issue for me and part of why I got so into riding bikes in the first place. Well on this trip, I rode across the bridge (twice!) and even though I hated every moment of it (there may have been a couple nice ones where I admired the view) I did it! I was rewarded with a beautiful ride through Marin county, up to the east peak of Mt Tamalpais. Aside from that, we have spent our time by sharing experiences that I had 20 years ago, and are brand new to neek. Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street, the Winchester Mystery house in San Jose just to name a few. Thanks for all the birthday wishes and thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far 🖤
