This September, LDF (@lignesdefuite.studio ) brought together nine independent designers for ON SHOW, a series of runway presentations at @atelier_textile during Montréal Fashion Week.

Among them were two of our award-winning designers, @kendricktranstudios and @pearlettadesigns, who spent a week in Montréal completing an intensive mentorship with LDF, culminating in the presentation of their collections on the runway.

Big love to LIGNES DE FUITE for continuing to champion independent fashion, nurture emerging talent, and support our shared mission of creating opportunities for creative exchange between our cities.

You really have to be there.

Because trying to explain what happens at a Lignes de Fuite fashion show inside that narrow corridor, buried deep inside one of Montreal’s remaining heritage industrial buildings, doesn’t quite do it justice. The space is raw, small, completely unassuming. But then the lights go down, the first look hits the catwalk, and suddenly the whole place has a hypnotic pulse.

This is fashion without the distance. Close enough to see the construction, the textures, the attitude. Close enough to feel the energy move through the room.

Maybe that’s the magic Milan and his team have concocted.

The formula is actually pretty simple: take an intensely professional team, give them serious respect for the craft, obsess over every detail, and let the designers do what they do best. The result is a show that never feels like it’s just presenting clothes. It’s alive. Vibrating with the passion of fashion. And when the final look disappears down that narrow runway, you’re left wondering: ‘Is that all? Because I want more!’
Lucky for us, there were nine designers showcasing their collections at this edition of On Show. Can’t wait till next year!

LIGNES DE FUITE – ON SHOW

Le travail de @milan.tanedjikov, fondateur de @lignesdefuite.studio et de ses collaborateurs, EXPOSÉ, est exceptionnel et nous en avions la preuve samedi soir dernier dans le cadre de la @semainemodemtl lors de la prestation de ON SHOW lors de laquelle 9 talentueux designers de mode ont présenté leurs intéressantes collections.

Et, je reviens, en images afin de poursuivre cette suite, sur la représentation de 19 h 00 où @saintpier__ @kendricktranstudios et @valmora_official ont prouvé, une fois de plus, ce que Montreal Fashion a de mieux à offrir en matière de créativité et d’avant-gardisme, bravo !
