I wish I knew sooner why I kept coming back to the number 5. ⭐️

It began in my work as an interior designer. Then I noticed more connections.

Five became my harmony number.

At 47, I’m learning to make room for myself everyday.

That’s why I’m practicing Rooted 5, and inviting you to join me. Five daily destinations to give your mind, body and soul space.

Here’s how you can begin:

1. MOVE
Give your body a moment of attention. Walk, stretch, or exercise or just dance.

Ask yourself: What movement can I make room for today?

2. MIND
Make room to hear your thoughts. Write a few lines, meditate, or sit quietly without scrolling.

Ask yourself: What’s taking up space in my mind?

3. MEAL
Make nourishment a moment you enjoy. Sit down, use the good china, and really taste your food.

Ask yourself: How can I care for myself through this meal?

4. MODE
Choose one meaningful task and give it your attention.

Ask yourself: What deserves my focus today?

5. MEANING
Make room to connect with what grounds you. Pray, reflect, or practice gratitude.

Ask yourself: What connects me to something beyond my to-do list?

Visit all 5 each day, even if each moment is small. Create space in your home for these rituals, too.

I’m Participant #001, practicing alongside you.

Save this for tomorrow. Which M do you need to make more room for?

Becoming a mom changed me in the most beautiful way.

There’s no title, accomplishment, or moment in my life that compares to the love I feel from the Love I have for my four pack. They are the heartbeat behind everything I do, my softness, my strength, my purpose, and my why. 🤍

Motherhood has stretched me, healed me, and taught me a deeper kind of love than I ever knew existed.

To My Brikah-shay, My Tyty, My Saysay, and My Chipmunk… I love yall so much! 💜💗💙❤️

Happy Mother’s Day Mommas!

Wow and just like that… Happy 19 Mister Tollie 🤍

High school sweethearts, rooted in something real. Nineteen years of choosing us, of riding this journey and learning and growing along the way. I just love this man deeply for who he is and what we have built together.

Thank you for everything we have created together and what is still unfolding for us. To do life & legacy beside you, to call you mine, to be your partner, your peace, your lifelong companion… that is everything 💋

I still do!!! Not new to this… just true to this. That’s real 🖤

Happy Black History Month

I am not just designing rooms.
I am designing the environments where our legacy learns how to live.

And I am passing it on.
