NYC 🖤 Eight inspiring days of ideas, exceptional company, tacos & bitter drinks. An art show, a conference, an opening night at MoMA and about a million meetings, dinners and breakfasts in between it all. This work trip was a big goal for more reasons than one, and being able to wear the different hats of all three businesses at the same time as well as spend time with some of the most insanely, inspiring women I know? Pure cream. TY to all my old and new NY friends who made this one, one I won’t forget. See you soon x

What a jam packed week showing Reed Wines in my home away from home, NZ! Started off in windy Wellington seeing new & old faces while jumping straight into some incredible Kiwi drops! Davey who has Ortega has been a good friend for many years; a trip to Welly always calls for a visit to show him my wine world & delight in his amazing food & space. Davey is the reason I make wine in Waitaki, he has this way of putting a glass in-front of people & asking them to navigate blindly what corner of the world it comes from. We play this game often in the wine industry but he isn’t exclusive about it in his space, he uses it as a means to connect with all of us & share his thoughtful treasures. One night he blinded me in a Waitaki Riesling & the acidity and chalkiness stopped me in my tracks, I would have never guessed it came from NZ but I’m glad it did. A year later he did it to me again & right away I said, “It’s from that place you told me about last time, this wine is from Waitaki Valley!” I knew instantly I had to make wine there & that year I did, I have never looked back. New Zealand has been giving me gifts like this since I arrived in 2007, I have a connection that runs so deep with this country, it hurts to leave & I never quite get enough. I got my dream job hosting a travel show in NZ in 2010 & half way through the show interviewing winemakers something so strong inside me told me to quit right then & there to become a winemaker myself. Crazy I know but this place gives me permission to dream and take risks, this place is where I’m the best version of myself. After Wellington I jumped on a flight to Auckland to continue the @greatlittlevineyards tour showing wines to so many amazing places & people followed by a couple of events with new & old friends @tacoteca_ @fine_o_wine @from_under_the_pergola. It was so special showing my single vineyard wines from Torquay to the community, I wasn’t a grower when I was last there with my wines 5 years ago. Sharing the Waitaki Wines & celebrating a piece of NZ through my heart & lense was a full circle moment; I got to give the gift back, I got to share my gratitude to my beautiful friend and spiritual guide,NZ.❤️

Saison Aperitifs brought a distinctly Australian approach to the bar at Sydney Contemporary.

The Melbourne-based aperitif company is known for its seasonal, ingredient-led vermouths and amari, drawing on local produce and a culinary approach to flavour.
