2026-27 CCAA Watch List: Part Eight - Basketball! 👀

We asked you to drop names of student-athletes to keep an eye on across Canada ahead of the 2026-27 season, and you did just that. We received dozens of submissions on our story across all six member conferences!

We’ll share more names from the Winter Sports (Basketball, more Volleyball, etc.), and maybe another Fall Sports edition of the list, as we approach the new season.

With the start of the 2026-27 season just a month away, I thought I would share some of my photos from last season with the SAIT Trojans, Okotoks Bow Mark Oilers, 4Vengeance Media, and at the Circle K Classic.

Can’t wait to start the season!

Another year, and another RSEQ Gold Medal in Women’s Soccer.

Back in November in Red Deer, College Ahuntsic and Cegep Garneau met in an all-RSEQ Championship Game at the 2025 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championships. Les Aigles came away victorious, giving the RSEQ their 10th Women’s Soccer Gold Medal in the last 11 seasons.

SAIT’s Nikki Charlton was named the CCAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, while St. Clair’s Steve Vagnini was named Coach of the Year.

All roads lead to Kitchener this season, as Conestoga College hosts the 2026 CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championships from November 11-14.
