Grateful… one year completely sober and I can’t tell you that I haven’t had “reasons” to drink, but I understood the assignment. Today, I want to thank my support team for asking me if I’d been drinking, questioning what’s in my cup or glass, checking on me in the dark times and laughing with me in the good ones, I thank God that I had people to stand in the rain with me when they could’ve been dry… your love, support, tough conversations, guidance, and honesty has gotten me to here, and I am forever in your debt. I thank God, my family, friends, strangers that became friends, and I want to thank myself for having the strength to get through this year clean… my journey continues and I hope I can be a beacon of light to those that are still in the dark, I just want to help, I’m here to help!!!
